No Reservation? No Problem! Unique Breakfasts at Walt Disney World Resort

It’s no secret that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Last year, I wrote about some of my favorite places to grab breakfast before a day in the parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Today, I have a few unique breakfast picks to share with you — all available without a dining reservation.

  • I guess I’ll take that as a no…

  • I’ve noticed that breakfast options are difficult to come by for anyone who doesn’t eat meat, dairy or eggs. Aside from fruit and (maybe) oatmeal, are there any interesting breakfast options for your vegan guests?

  • I sure wish WDW could get the bread cone breakfast served at Carsland!! But, until then, I’ll enjoy my Nutella and fruit waffle or breakfast pizza!

  • “Maple Waffle Breakfast Cone – BoardWalk Bakery”

I’ve got to admit that sounds pretty good! I am a bit puzzled that I can’t seem to find that item on the posted menu on the WDW site though(is it new? they do list other breakfast items)? Had I known of this item, I might have walked around the lake one morning to check it out a few weeks ago when I spent several days at Yacht Club during Star Wars Weekends. Maybe next time I will make time to wander over.

As to other favorites, I’m afraid I will go into what (I fear) is the past. I used to love stopping at Fairfax Fare in DHS for the breakfast sandwich (I think they also served fruit cups) first thing (or maybe after one “rope drop” trip with everyone else on Toy Story Midway Mania!).

It seems with the opening of The Trolley Car Cafe Starbucks location, Fairfax Fare no longer does breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches I had at Trolley Car were OK (though again, I don’t seem to see any mention of breakfast on the TCC menu on-line?), but it seemed a bit more hectic and the seating area is not as big with Trolley Car being by itself and Fairfax being part of that large group of food stands at the other end of Sunset (with Fairfax being the only one open so early, it was easy to find a nice seat).

I can’t blame Disney for stopping breakfast at Fairfax since 2 counter service / quick service breakfast locations so close to one another probably wouldn’t make sense.

  • Waffle Cone Breakfast? Why am I only now hearing about this! Man that sounds really (really) good! I clearly would have hopped the boat from DHS when we were there last for SWW 🙂

    Amy:
If you were keen on a cone or anything else there, I would suggest you ask them when you are there to make one without cheese or syrup. I know I have made a few special orders even at the quick service restaurants and they have obliged (Can’t stand tomatoes in their squishy form!)

  • Downtown Disney- breakfast pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express or the breakfast sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich.

  • The breakfast croissant with cheese potatoes at Pizzafari was the best! So sad to see it go. Is there a proper counter service option at Animal Kingdom anymore? It would be very cool if I could find my breakfast croissant with cheese potatoes at the new Harambe Market!

    • Try Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery! I love the Hot Breakfast Wrap with egg, sausage, spinach and goat cheese.

  • Any ideas for good breakfast options without cheese and/or maple syrup?

    • There are plenty of breakfast options that don’t include cheese or syrup! Fruit and Nutella Waffle at Sleepy Hollow, Vegetable Quiche or Croissant Doughnut at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom, African-inspired Breakfast Platter (scrambled eggs, sausage, pap, chakalaka and grilled tomatoes) at The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and pastries from Starring Rolls Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios just to name a few!

  • Nutella and fruit waffle from Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom! OR Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie at EPCOT.

    • Yum! I love the waffles at Sleepy Hollow. 🙂
