To kick off the summer season at Disney Parks, we are releasing a few tee-shirts on our Disney Parks online store that I think fans will love. These limited release tees will only be offered online at DisneyStore.com/ParkEvents. All shirts will be offered for adults, women and youth. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.

June 17-23
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Disneyland Resort, we are launching a series of online tees that salute original Disneyland park attractions. The first tee celebrates the world famous Jungle Cruise attraction. In addition to the shirt, poster artwork will also be available during this sale.

I’m particularly excited for the Triple R Ranch tee shirt, which was inspired by “The Adventures of Spin and Marty” from the 1955-56 season of the “Mickey Mouse Club.” Disney Design Group artist Casey Jones worked with the Walt Disney Archives to get photo reference of the summer camp shirts used in the show. You may also recognize the shirt as something Andy wore in Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story 2” (I tried recreating a shot from that animated feature above).

June 29-July 5
The final shirt for June features the Harmony Barber Shop from Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park. This location opened in 1975 and is a great place to get a first haircut as seen in this video article. This shirt will be online from June 29 through July 5.

Comments

  • I love these shirts! I noticed the PeopleMover shirt today and wondered if you knew about the upcoming shirts, as well.

  • I contacted disneystore reagrding the Triple R shirt. Enter 474051819995 in the search box and it shows up.

  • Also a touch disappointed as I wanted to order the Jungle Cruise shirt for myself at the same time… Double whammy there as the Jungle Cruise shirts didn’t seem to come in womens sizes and now will not be available at the same time as the Triple R shirts.

  • @Mike I’m beginning to get worried too! I’ve been checking since the 22nd, the date that the article lists & haven’t seen anything posted yet! Really want to get one of these for my mom!
Any word on a delay or anything, Steve? 🙂

  • Uh oh, where are the Triple R shirts?

    The link comes up empty!

Did I get the dates wrong again!

  • I absolutely love these shirts, but I have a tiny solution to a large problem. The solution is expanded sizes. There is an untapped resource that is totally being overlooked. That resource is us the big and tall community we love specialty and themed shirts as much as our slimmer fellow Disney addicts. We all know the year dated shirts go up to 5X, but we humbly ask could you go larger across the spectrum of specialty and themed shirts as well. As always have a XXXL Magical Day.

  • I didn’t see a woman’s Jungle Cruise tee at the Disney Store site. Will there be one for the Triple R shirt? What was the name of the girls’ camp across the lake?

Always wondered why Spin needed a wristwatch. Perkins rang the bell when it was time for grub. Other than that, the boys were always roping, riding and ‘rangling. Who cares what time it is!

Was lucky enough to tour the real Triple R a couple of years ago. I felt like I was 6 years old again.

  • You mentioned in the post that the shirts will be available in a women’s cut – but I don’t see the Jungle Cruise one in a women’s cut on the Disney Store website. Has it been posted and I’m just missing it?

  • Wow…. not that I would need one, but did the Women’s shirt really sell out on the first day? I only see Men’s, Kids, and the 2 art pieces just now…

  • I’m just wondering when I ceased to be an “adult,” since your shirts seem to be offered in sizes for “adults, women and youth.” Perhaps someone meant “men, women and youth,” or just “adult and youth.”

I second the comment for offering larger sizes. Since it appears Disney doesn’t do a print run until the orders are all received, how hard would it be to accommodate those, like my son, who need 3, 4, or 5 XL?

Otherwise, keep those special shirts coming.

    • @Sandra – Thank you for your note. I call out adults, women and youth as the shirts fit differently. I’ve been asked in previous articles if we are offering a women’s cut so I wanted to ensure readers knew when we would. The women’s shirt is more fitted than the adult shirt. I hope this makes sense.

  • I also missed the Main Street Electrical Parade and Electrical Water Pageant shirts. It would be great if you made those available again.

  • Hi Steven – Are there any plans to offer extended sizes in these type of shirt offerings. I know the shirts take 3-5 weeks to ship. So I would assume they are print on demand. Why not offer larger sizes to accommodate more people. Something to think about for future promotions.

    • @David – I’ll share your feedback with the merchandising team.

  • They’re online! Go, go, go!

  • I need them ALL!!!! I think Disney / Star Wars shirts have taken over my wardrobe…

  • Bummer!! I’m with Karen. Saw the MSEP and Elec Water Pageant tees on a re-post on another site that appeared today. Sorry I missed those 2 last week, they were great looking! (not that I don’t like the Jungle Cruise one, it’s nice too)

  • I love these attraction shirts, Steven. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Jungle Cruise shirt!

  • YAY! I am so happy to see there will be ladies / women’s cuts of these shirts, thank goodness!!! (Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto ladie’s cut up next, please and thank you 🙂

  • Steven, I just want to say that you are looking mighty fine in that Triple-R t-shirt:)

    • @Susanne – Thank you 🙂 The shirt may be one of my favorites from this year. I love simple designs.

  • The Twitter post to this story shows a Main Street Electrical Parade shirt, but nothing showing here or on the “Park Events” link for the store. When will that be released…or when will it be restocked if it’s already gone?

    • @Karen – Unfortunately, those shirts are no longer available. They were online from June 8-14. I’m sorry I don’t have better news.

  • Way out there on the Triple R, yip-pie-ayyy, yip-pie-o! 🙂

(And my first guess was that it was Andy’s cowboy camp, but I didn’t get the Easter-egg connection.)

  • Ha! Nevermind, now I see it! Sorry!

    • @Tracie – Glad you found the dates. 🙂

  • Any idea on the release dates? I probably need that Jungle Cruise shirt.
