UPDATE: This event has reached capacity and confirmation emails are being sent. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future opportunities!
If you’re as excited about the upcoming film “Ant-Man” as we are, I’ve got great news for you today! Disney Parks Blog readers have been invited to attend a special advanced screening of the film here at AMC Downtown Disney 12 at the Disneyland Resort. Event guests are invited to show their super hero side and attend in costume!
“Ant-Man,” directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, introduces us to a hero armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength. Master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Can’t make it to the special advanced screening? Then be sure to catch “Ant-Man” when it opens in theaters on July 17, 2015.

Are Phones allowed, Do they have to be checked in? Or should we leave them in our car
Hello, I was able to get into this event and register 😀 , but we’ve never been to this type of event and I was wondering if you could help me with some information. I know check in is at 8:30-10:00am on that day but what else do I need to know? Like what time will the movie start and if I need to bring anything else, besides me and a guest and an I.D.
Thank you for your help,
Selena 🙂
I’ve been reading the Disney Parks Blog for years and have never been able to even come close to signing up for events. I think it would be great if there would be specific times that readers could try to sign up so that there is more of an equal opportunity to sign up!
Will there be a screening for Disney World??? :))))
Ya’ll are wasting a golden opportunity not showing the whole movie in the Bug’s Life theater. Not that I got into this event anyways. Just the fact that you showed the preview in the Bugs Life theater is beautiful though. It fits so perfectly.
and about how long would the event be?
Thanks!
I was able to register, excited!!
Quick question, will there be some sort of reception afterwards?
No reception this time, Vincent. This is just an opportunity to view the film. (Which is still pretty awesome!)
dang it I won’t be in Anaheim until the 15th… 3 days too early guys (I actually know a lot of people arriving on the 15th)
