I thouhgt “h’ Was the huntchback…
Looks like X and Y forgot to get the texture treatment in the poster. Whoops!
couldn’t get x.
wish R was rapunzle 🙁
James’ wife here – (not#7) I agree with Ellen #11 – What a creative idea and it would make an excellent poster for children to learn their ABC’s and so forth…
<3WDW!
@Taryn – Herc isn’t “headless”, that’s his mullet-with-headband hero hairstyle. (With his shield in his right hand.)
And I remember old pre-90’s Disney alphabets too, from the old days–Back before Yzma, Y was for Yen Sid, the mysterious Sorcerer with the big-eared Apprentice.
Alphabet “Family Tree” we can all relate to! This would be great in a classroom poster. Decoding letter sounds with Character names. Love it!
Thanks for sharing with us Jennifer.

I’m going with Headless Horseman for “H”… doesn’t look like Hercules to me. But I could totally be missing it. Help me see Hercules in this photo!!!
Wow. I can think of two that would have been better choices. R-Rapunzel and W-Winnie the Pooh. But I have to thank you for using A-Ariel and E-Eeyore instead of those other princesses who shall not be named.
I can think of a princess for R, but “Rose” isn’t it. 🙂
(SB’s NAME is “Aurora”, and “Briar” starts with B.)
And I remember the old lines for the character meets in the old Mickey’s County Store, where to entertain the preshow, the monitors would show “Guess that character” puzzles for each letter.
I don’t think they had too many X’s, although none of the kids recognized Zorro for Z, and “Zeus” was the one from Fantasia, not Herc’s dad.
Over 40 years ago I had a children’s puzzle with Disney characters for each letter of the alphabet. A was for Alice, B was for Bongo, C was for Cinderella. I think D was Dumbo and E for Eeyore. It gets sketchy from there. I believe I was for Ichabod, W for Walrus, Z for Zorro, and I’m not sure that they even had one for X. That or they had an X-ray of someone like Goofy. The character choices have really improved over time.
This would make a wonderful poster for my niece’s wall 🙂
Rapunzel might have been a better choice for “R”!!

@Phillip I was stumped as well, but after extensive googling it’s Xyla from Doc McStuffins
