Sweet, loving it…
Sounds very cool!! Any end date set for Disneyland Season of the Force?
Hi Carolyn – And end date has not yet been announced.
Erin, will the new Star Tours adventure begin in November, or December? (I notice the post says that the new Jedi Training Academy begins in December, so I was wondering about Star Tours)
Also, Hyperspace Mountain will start in November along with the event, correct?
Hi Fred – Both Hyperspace Mountain and the new adventure at Star Tours will begin November 16.
This is so exciting! We will be there for the Avenger’s Half Marathon and will be in the Park the whole next week. One thing not exciting is the crowds this new experience will bring to one of the least crowded weeks of the year. We are definitely looking forward to this experience!
Will Space Mountian remain open the weekend of Nov.15 and 16 or will it be closed for the install?
Cool stuff! Can’t wait to see the WDW plans!
Any news on additional Star Wars merch? I’m hoping for a new Dooney Star Wars design and more MagicBands!
Hi Trinna – We’ll share information on new merchandise as soon as we have it. Stay tuned!
Really excited about DL. Any word on how long SotF will last?
Hi Holly – And end date has not yet been announced.
Will this take the place of Captain America and Thor?
Chrissy – Super Hero HQ will be located in the Tomorrowland Expo Center, upstairs from Star Wars Launch Bay. We’ll have more information on that location soon.
Will the new Star Tours scene appear randomly, with equal chances with other scenes, always appear, or appear randomly with greater chances than other scenes?
Mitchell – For a limited time, everyone who rides Star Tours will experience the new adventure.
How long will this last? We’ll be in Disneyland in February, will we miss it?
And end date has not yet been announced.
I’m going to Disneyland around New Years. Any idea if this will still be going on around then??
Taylor – And end date has not yet been announced.
Hi Erin – Very interesting post! Can you tell me WHERE in the park the Star Wars Launch Bay will be located? Will this all be where Innoventions used to be? Thanks!
Shannon – Yes, Star Wars Launch Bay will be in the Tomorrowland Expo Center, which is the building that formerly housed Innoventions.
This sounds amazing! Can’t wait for this to open!!
So is space mountain going to be loses from November 2 to the 16th? I’m hoping earlier I’ll be there the week before Star Wars days and am wondering if I need to change my reservations
I’m going down to Disneyland for the Avengers Marathon weekend from Nov 11-14 will Space Mountain and/or Star Tours be open to ride during this period.
So this would mean that there’s no Star Wars Weekends in 2016 for WDW?
Thank you for the response, Erin. 🙂
We will be there in December. I am so looking forward to seeing this!
Hi, I just need some clarification, is it opening November 16 2015 or 2016? Because my partner and I will need to start making reservations to come around the time it opens. Thanks and we are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!
November 16, 2015 🙂
Hello Erin! I just had a quick question, there seems to be a lot of rumors going around that this star wars land will be taking place over toontown, that toontown will be removed from Disneyland to make more space for this new attraction. Can you clarify the situation for us, or give us any info on that rumor?
Hi Maria – I can confirm that Mickey’s Toontown will not be impacted by the new Star Wars-themed land at Disneyland park.
Erin, my family and I are planning on being at WDW and Hollywood Studios the weekend of Dec 11th-13th. I know no date has been announced but do you anticipate that it will be open by then? Also is Disney planning anything else for the opening of the new movie? Premiere, party, parade, etc.,?
Nooooo!!!!! I was hoping it was sooner! 🙁 I’m going October 17th really wanted to check out the starwars stuff my boys and big fans too.
How long will it be available? I’m pregnant and we wont be able to go until at least Spring.
Congratulations, Bethanie! An end date has not yet been announced.
Will space mountain and star tours be closed for for a time leading up to the 16th?
I visit wdw every year in jan-feb. but theres never anything going on, its always a slow period with alot in refurbishment. I was really hoping season of the force would give us more during that time of the year. Any chance it might?
Can’t wait to see the new Hyperspace Mountain and Star Tours. Will be there starting on the 19th of Nov.
Hi, can you give any details about SWW?
I am so excited for everything upcoming but I am a little disappointed that there is no mention of Queen Amidala or Princess Leia. Please tell me there is something that includes them. Is there anything??
I timed my 1st ever trip to disneyland just right since I arrive on 16th
I’ll be visiting from Australia, but not until late October 2016. I sure hope it’s still around then as well as Captain America and Thor as I’m a massive fan of the Star Wars’ and Marvel universes.
Will there be any period that Jedi Training is shut down while the new experience is opening?
It looks like space mountain will be closed the whole first part of November. I’m assuming this is to remove the Ghosts of the Galaxy overlay and to install Hyperspace Mountain overlay. How accurate do you believe these closure dates are? I ask because it seems like 2 weeks (November 2nd-November 16) is a long time to have a major ride closed for an overlay that should only take a few days . . . Any thoughts??? Thanks!!!
I’m just wondering if there closing town town forever i heard that toon town will be closed for new star wars area so I’m just wondering if that means the end of Toon town forever
We are planning a Jan 9-19 trip in 2016. What Star Wars events, rides can we experience? What can we plan ahead for as far as fast-pass, meet and greets etc. Thanks so much for any help in our planning efforts!
For the person going disneyland on or mid Jan they close a lot of rides for weeks at a time to take down Christmas just be careful. My family goes several times a year and like the best time is like first part Feb because everything open and crowds are gone.have just trying to be helpful.
Richard from CA– It has been confirmed by Disney that Toontown will not be removed.
Thanks Fred for answering my question why is it showing all rides are closed or I guess no schedule available. Any way I’m happy to know there keep it.
Is fantastic show closed due to the river being changed I’m going to be there for thanksgiving hate to miss that
We are coming to Hollywood Studies 10.24.15 and I had in our itinerary to attend the Jedi Training course, I looked at my itinerary today and it was gone. I am researching and it appears to be closed down. I’m so sick, this was such a huge top of the list item for us, I can’t believe they shut it down over fall break for so many schools. Is there anything in it’s place we should attend besides the star wars roller coaster so that our son can experience all of the Star Wars that remains?
Hello. We are pass holders and we’re looking on going tomorrow Monday e 16. Is it Forster open to the public as of tomorrow?
When will hyperspace mountain end?
Star Wars The Force Awakens is the seventh chapter of this amazing movie. I am so excited to visit the very first show in my city. I’ve been waiting for this since last month. I have bought a jacket of Han Solo from an Online shop Sky-Seller. You guys should check it out.
