#DisneyKids: Planning a Holiday Trip With Little Ones

The holidays are a particularly magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, with special seasonal events that allow families to start their own traditions. The four theme parks and all of the resort hotels on property are decorated with festive décor, which not only excite the little ones, but also provide the perfect backdrop for memorable family holiday photos!

In less than two months, some of our holiday events in the parks kick off, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead and get tickets now. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park begins on November 8, and The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights starts November 6.

  • Some of our most favorite Walt Disney World moments have been during the Holidays when our girls were little. Nothing beats a snickerdoodle and watching the parade during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or cuddling up under a blanket during the Candlelight Processional. It is always a treat in January during Marathon Weekend when some of the decorations are still up. Keeps the spirit going!

  • When do you flip the park from Halloween to Christmas?

  • Going end of Nov to WDW for the first time after a lifetime of going to Disneyland. Couldn’t be more excited! Doing all of these too! Only thing I am going to miss is Haunted Mansion Holiday, but going to a Christmas party will make up for that!

  • We’re going in December with our 5 year old, and we’re doing ALL of those. Every single one.

    It’s gonna rock.
