Halloween is fast approaching and over the next few weeks, we’ll be bringing you advice from the various experts we have here at Walt Disney World Resort on all things Halloween: creating creepy makeup looks, designing simple yet amazing Haunted Mansion costumes of your own, stirring up yummy holiday treats, and decorating your house with spooky decor.
This week, we’re kicking off the series with a behind-the-scenes look at how you can create two different Haunted Mansion looks for young kids. One look is based on the famous Haunted Mansion maid. The other was inspired by the new Attractionista’s Gracie doll. (Both looks are designed for young children, but the techniques can easily be adapted for teens and adults as well).
Head backstage with us now to a Walt Disney World Cosmetology area for a tutorial on how to create a scary Haunted Mansion Maid look.
And a look inspired by the new Disney Attractionista doll, Gracie.
Will you try any of these at home? Tell us in the “Comments” section below.
Soooo very amazing to watch our daughter, Elizabeth,Looking share her magical talents with all for this Spooky Halloween!! Thank you for the inside tips on applying makeup to the little ones. Your aging techniques were incredible!! Ma and Dad are so proud of you!!! Little “E” your mystical Disney powers are drawing us nearer to the Halloween Haunted Mansion!!
ok so how would I take this and utilize it for a guy to be one of the mansion butlers? Also would that same makeup look also work for a Tower of Terror bellhop?
The same directions could apply for an adult male. Feel free to go heavier on the contouring (shadowing) to age yourself. And don’t be afraid to go deeper on the frown lines/crows feet to set those wrinkles deeper. Stay tuned for more DIY tutorials!
Just the advice I’m looking for our September visit and Halloween On The High Seas Spooktacular adventure!!
Thanks for sharing. Definitely trying, they look amazing!
Let us know how it turns out!
