The “sistahs” have returned!
Last night, we debuted our new show, “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” during the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season at Magic Kingdom Park. It’s been 22 years since the wicked Sanderson Sisters last appeared, in Disney’s 1993 film “Hocus Pocus.” Now they’re back and fabulous as ever!
Winifred, Mary and Sarah visit the mortal world for an all-new adventure, with a plan to use their magic to throw the best, evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard. To cast their spell on the kingdom, they proceed to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion, requiring sinister shadows, nefarious nightmares and the powers of frightful friends. And who would be friends with such mischievous witches? The Disney villains, of course! The sisters soon find themselves in the company of everyone from Dr. Facilier and Oogie Boogie to Maleficent, Jafar, Captain Hook, Lady Tremaine and more!
We had a chance to chat with Show Director Denise Case, who gave us a first look at the Sanderson Sisters’ return.
“Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” is presented exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, held on special evenings through November 1 at Magic Kingdom Park. Tickets to the party are going fast, so get yours soon. You won’t want to miss a moment of the fun!

when is the hocus pocus available??
I was there for my very first not so scary and I LOVED THE SHOW SO MUCH! the very next day I ordered the dvd! DISNEY YOU REALLY NAILED IT BEYOND BELIEF!
im going to the party on tuesday!! will be there the hocus pocus shirt still on that day cause i want one!!
Have the Sanderson Sisters been played by the same actors in the movie Hocus Pocus? When I saw the video for this article, two things popped into my head: 1) I wish I was there for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween, 2) I wish I have the autographs of the Sanderson Sisters so that I can be sure that these sisters are played by the same actors in the movie. In fact, I’m sure that they are really played by the same actors from the movie (Bette Milder, Sarah Jessica Parker and the other name I can’t remember right now).
Will the same show be at Disneyland?

Looks amazing. Makes me wish I lived in Florida so I could experience it. Maybe someday it’ll be in Disneyland…? We can dream! 🙂

I got to see the Spelltacular show on the first night, September 14 (I saw it twice) and it was wonderful! The Sanderson sisters were dead on (pun intended!) and the Disney villains who showed up were amazing!
I was very disappointed to find out that the Hocus Pocus t-shirt that was available was a test-shot, and sold out instantly. I didn’t get one. 🙁
This was my first MNSSHP and it was a lot of fun!

Why doesn’t Disneyland resort get Disneyland ?
It looks cool and I love the movie. I have it on DVD as the TV stations here in Australia don’t show much Halloween stuff as it’s not really big here. I’ll be going to both Disneyland and Disney World next year for both the Halloween parties and I can’t wait!! I hope they do this show next year as I’d love to see it!! I just LOVE Disney and LOVE visiting from Australia in October so I can be part of the Halloween fun. Way to go Disney!!

Is there Meet & Greet this year?
Carol – There are lots of characters available for you to meet during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but the Sanderson Sisters only appear in the show.
I agree with Philip and Jonathan…PLEASE have meet and greets with the Sanderson sisters either at future parties this year, or beginning next year. It could be run just like how the villains meet and greets used to take place at previous MNSSHPs…after each Villains stage show, the villains would come down off the castle stage and do meet and greets in front of the castle.
Way to go Denise and cast. From the videos I saw online, the characterizations are spot on! Awesome.
So so glad Hocus Pocus is in the parks now!! What a perfect fit.
(Although I do think the change to “heck” was not necessary…you could have used the original lyrics…)
I’m not usually a “character” person, especially meet and greets, but I think even I would love a meet and greet with the Sanderson Sisters!

Was there really a Hocus Pocus Villains Spectacular show shirt that is already sold out after just the first party? Because I am going to the Party next week and would hate to have missed out. Can anyone provide more details about this shirt? Was it really limited edition, or just limited release for all the Parties with some being held back for each Party date? Thanks.
I agree with Dana. The show was the BEST show yet. Absolutely loved it, plus we were lucky enough to get the Limited Edition T Shirt before it sold out. Great time last night

We were there for the show last night!! It is the BEST SHOW to date that Disney has done. To merge the Sanderson Sisters and the Disney Villains in a show was “Brilliant” – the crowd loved it!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!!
