MahaloWeen Returns to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel

Aloha, Tiki fans! Reservations are now open for the popular MahaloWeen taking place October 12 and 13, 2015, at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel. Trader Sam has reached into the spooky recesses of his treasure vault to create a fun and tasty event, steeped in the wild side of Polynesian legends. Tribal masks, tiki torches and legends of gods and demons are all part of this one-of-a-kind Halloween celebration, along with delicious appetizers and drinks.

Mahaloween attendees will receive:

  • 2 drink tickets, good for either a signature Tiki drink (with or without alcohol), or a selection of beer and wine
  • Commemorative Mahaloween Kukui nut lei
  • Tiki print
  • 1 special edition Tiki glass – available only to Mahaloween attendees – as well as the opportunity to purchase the standard Tiki glass

Special Tip: The artists who created the print and Tiki glass will be on hand to autograph their pieces during the event.

Cost to attend is $150.00 per person (tax and gratuity are included). Reservations can be made by visiting Disneyland.com.

  • WOW Scott – here I thought you were a lone example until I checked my friend’s package (I had a friend go in his stead since he lives in Florida) and you’re right. He ended up with a regular orange instead! This has me raging.

  • Rachel . . . we attended the event last night and realized that our event mugs were actually the same color/glaze as the “open edition” [orange] version. Can you help?!?! We heard that this had happened to few other people who attended. Please be in touch.

  • I attended this event last night. It was so much better then the tahitian tiki disaster. So happy I went! I hope for more of these experiences

  • I’m sorry I should have been more specific regarding the Merchandise as there is currently a Mahaloween T-shirt and Sweatshirt on sale at the on line Disney store right now will these items (or some like them) be available at the event?

  • Will there be other Merchandise available at this event besides the mugs?

    • Yes, a special print featuring Trader Sam himself will be given to all attendees.

  • OMG why so expensive?

  • Apparently this even is only intended for locals. Otherwise more than 2 weeks notice would have been given. Last year this site announced the event in *early* September and people had time to make travel plans.

  • @whitney. Yeah, I can tell what it is. I just don’t like it very much. I feel like they could have done something more interesting than just a brown jack head. He doesn’t even look like a tiki.

I will say this though, at least they made a new mug instead of just repainting an existing mold like the zombie head last year (though I do prefer the design of the zombie.

  • Cool event. Wish I could go. Would love more coverage of this event in the days ahead!

  • any chance this is coming to our trader sams in Walt Disney World??

  • @benjamin – the mug is a Jack Skellington tiki mug

  • Looks like fun, though the mug design is pretty uninspired.

Will there be any vegan food options at the event?

    • Most special dietary needs can be accommodated. For vegans, there will be a vegetable platter, fruit skewers, marinated tofu on steamed rice, and a gluten-friendly vegan black bean slider with quinoa and mushroom.

  • Will Trader Sam’s be open to non-ticketed guests on the events dates, 12th and 13th?

    • Yes, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will be open. The event is being held at the Magic Kingdom Lawn at the Disneyland Hotel.

  • I can’t find the link to buy tickets.

  • Florida’s Trader Sam’s never gets any love! We’d love some awesome events over here too please! 🙂

  • Will attendees be able to purchase at least one additional mug at the event?

    • Yes, guests will be able to purchase the standard mug (the same as the mug pictured above, with a different color pattern).

  • Will we be able to buy extra mugs at the event? Or will we only be given the one pictured?

    • Yes, the Mahalloween Tiki glass will be available for purchase (in a different color pattern).

  • Happy Birthday to me!!! Going!

  • Why is this only 2 days and not in conjunction with the dates of the Mickey’s Halloween Party?

  • any chance of a similar event at the trader sam’s in the polynesian?

  • Is the Tiki Mug in question the one pictured?

    • The Tiki glass in the photo is the special edition glass, available only to Mahaloween attendees.
