Today we revealed that in early 2017 we will return to popular destinations in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Most cruises will feature a stop at Castaway Cay, our private island paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests.

For the first part of the year, we’ll continue sailing from Port Canaveral and Miami, in addition to cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Galveston, Texas. Bookings open to the public on October 8, 2015. Keep reading for more details, and check out the Itineraries and Ports for 2017 page of

Port Canaveral

With three Disney ships in port and cruises spanning three, four and seven nights, you have a full menu of options from Port Canaveral in early 2017. The best part? Every sailing includes a day at Castaway Cay!

The Disney Fantasy will continue to sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages, while the Disney Dream continues on three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay. Beginning January 29, the Disney Wonder will alternate similar three- and four-night itineraries.

To kick off 2017, the Disney Magic continues sailing from Miami with three-, four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas, plus select five-night Western Caribbean cruises, through March 31.

Again, Castaway Cay awaits guests aboard every one of these Disney Magic sailings! Other Bahamian ports of call include Nassau and Key West, while a stop in Grand Cayman or Cozumel headlines the Western Caribbean itineraries.

San Juan and Galveston

From San Juan, the Disney Magic sets sail on four seven-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean. Departing April 9, 16, 23 and 30, this limited-time engagement includes calls on Barbados, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antigua and St. Kitts.

The Disney Wonder completes a season in Galveston with two seven-night Bahamian voyages to Key West, Castaway Cay and Nassau on January 6 and 13. From there, the ship embarks on a six-night journey to San Juan on January 20 with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica.

On January 26, a three-night cruise aboard the Disney Wonder takes guests from San Juan to Port Canaveral, just an hour away from Walt Disney World Resort – the perfect stop for a fairytale land-and-sea adventure.

As always, we’ll keep you posted on the Disney Parks Blog when new itineraries and destinations are unveiled. Stay tuned for more on where we’re headed in 2017!

  • Glad to see additional Galveston itineraries – Keep them coming DCL

  • I hope some day they will go to Cuba. We need a change from Nassau on the Dream so if you do a back to back it would be a different port on second half.

  • Please come back to New York!

  • Please sail out of Baltimore!

  • Donna from NY, the Magic is in NY October 2016!

  • Donna, they are coming back in Oct of 2016 but only for about three weeks. I thought $2,500 was a lot for a Bahama cruise.

  • DCL is the best cruise line hope they sail in Asia, too.

  • Please come back to San Pedro, CA!!

  • NEED MORE sailings on the WEST COAST, besides Alaska! UTILIZE your port in VANCOUVER, British Columbia.

  • Please come back to Seattle! Sure, there’s Vancouver, but that’s not close enough. 🙂

  • Why don’t you ever sail out of Tampa? We are nearly as close to WDW as Port Canaveral is and way closer than Miami.

  • Any itineraries with 2 stops at Castaway Cay? Would love to do that!!!

  • Please come back to San Pedro/Long Beach/Los Angeles.

  • Urgh, don’t like it, at all!!!! It really sucks for us here in san diego who have to buy expensive air fairs (family of 6!!) to make it there, without counting all the hassle of flying 2 flights with 4 children in today’s airports and security. All we get is once in a blue moon a short 3 night to ensenada. We would really like to see more of disney on our waters over here!!!

  • I would LOVE it if you could add Baltimore. Baltimore had a huge port for many cruise lines and it’s a nice mid way point for the east coast. The price we pay to fly down to P.C FL with our family is almost the cost of another cruise trip. 🙁

  • Why do you always leave New York out?

  • Please come to Norfolk, VA. Other cruise lines use this port as one of many on their list. It would be a halfway point for many people. Would love to experience a Disney Cruise, never been on any cruise before.

  • I am sad they no longer sail out of Los Angeles. It’s just too expensive for a family to fly to Miami to catch a boat.

  • Please sail out of Baltimore!!! Or at least add some dates to NY (dates during school holidays)… Thanks

  • Please come back to San Pedro or Long Beach, California.

  • We love Castaway Cay. Like to see more stops there. Plus more Hawaiian Cruises

  • Please bring cruise to San Pedro again

  • Please, there needs to be dates out of New York!!

  • I agree sailing out of Norfolk, Va would be awesome!!!

  • Begging for Baltimore!!!!!!

  • Please sail out of New York, Baltimore, or Boston to Bermuda during the summer or April. East Coast teachers would love a break. We can’t ever cruise in October. I’d love to see the DVC Member cruise moved to a time when teachers can go as well. I also agree that a cruise that does both Bermuda and Castaway would be amazing and that Nassau is not the best port. We’ve done the 5 night Dream twice and absolutely loved it- 5 nights seems to be the perfect amount and having two days in Castaway Cay was awesome! I would love the see more 5 night itineraries.

  • Yes please come back to New York!!!!!!

  • New York or Boston please!

  • Would also love to see Baltimore sailing to Bermuda and Castaway Cay! Pleeeeeease!!!

  • Would love to see Disney cruise out of Baltimore OR Norfolk! Have been on two Disney cruises…and plan to do more!

  • Come back to NY in the summer! As a teacher and a mom of school aged kids, I can’t vacation in October!

  • Agree with the idea of dropping Nassau for just about anything else. Castaway Cay would be nice, or Key West, or even Hoboken!

  • San Francisco & L.A. departures!!!! 🙂

  • When will Disney Cruiseline unveil summer 2017 itineraries ? I can’t wait ! Hope they do Asia in the near future.

  • Please do an eastbound Panama Canal cruise in August of 2017. (Similar to that in 2016). My kids and I have worked it so that we can go then, if it isn’t until late September/October we will not be able to make it.
Saving lots of $$ and having Magical dreams of cruising again Disney.
