Heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Let’s Talk Candy!

I have to admit that one of the things I look forward to when attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the chance to trick-or-treat as an adult. Nothing makes me feel more like a kid again, especially when I see my favorite candy dropped into my trick-or-treat bag.

This year, guests have a lot to look forward to when it comes to candy at the parties. For example:

  • Guests can visit 15 treat locations located throughout Magic Kingdom Park
  • More than 282.5 tons of candy will be handed out during the 25 parties this season
  • More than 40 different kinds of brand-name candies, including Snickers, Milky Way, Butterfingers, M&Ms and Kit Kats, are included in three trick-or-treat candy mixes offered during the parties.
  • Four treat stops are sponsored at this year’s party, adding Werther’s Caramels, chocolate and yogurt-covered Craisins, Halloween Peeps and – new for 2015 – Dove chocolates, into the mix.

  • Kim – Disney is great with food allergies. Check in near the fire station. Usually they have allergen free candy. It won’t be at the trick or treat sites but you’ll still get a special bag of candy. Plus you can still sift through everything handed out to see if anything is safe. My daughter is allergic to dairy so no chocolate for her.

  • Yes you have to buy a separate ticket for the party.
I went Oct 9 & 12 – we had so much fun we ended up going twice! Great selection of candy, but more fun were the shows, music, atmosphere, fireworks, parades and all the cast members being in a Halloween mood! Getting on rides so quick was fun too of course.

  • We are visiting Disney for the first time this week. We have purchased a 14 day pass, but do I also have to buy a ticket for this? Also will the children need to bring their own halloween basket/bucket?

  • Will be there next week! Can’t wait!

  • Are there options for children who have allergies? My grandson is GFCF (gluten free Casein free)so things like chocolate and the Werther’s caramels are off limits. Nothing sadder than having to take 80% of hid candy away…

  • In this case, “I handed out a ton of candy last night” is literally true here, 10 times over.

  • Just purchased our tickets. The MNSSHP is going to be LOTS OF FUN this year! – The Disney Pin Princesses

  • That is an amazing amount and variety of candy!I am excited to get some of that 282.5 tons of candy!

  • Went to parties Sept 22 and 25. Still going through candy. Did have to leave some because wet from rain, and had to fit candy in suite case. Still have a lot. No more chocolate only fruity candy left but yummy.
