New ‘Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular’ Items Coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in October

I loved seeing the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” a few weeks ago during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. If you plan on attending an event in October, I invite you to look for a few commemorative items inspired by this new show.

We have an event T-shirt featuring the Sanderson Sisters and Disney Villains from the show such as Dr. Facilier and Maleficent.

Guests attending the events may also find artwork for select mobile phones at the new D-Tech on Demand area inside Tomorrowland Power and Light Co. at the exit of Space Mountain. We offer cases for iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6/6+ as well as Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung Galaxy 4, Samsung Galaxy 5 and Samsung Galaxy 6.

Finally, we will offer a limited release retail MagicBand starting October 9.

The best place to look for the event shirt and retail MagicBand is Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.

The retail MagicBand may be found in additional locations such as Box Office Gifts on Main Street, U.S.A., Big Al’s in Frontierland and Tomorrowland Power and Light Co. in Tomorrowland.

  • Any plans to carry the phone case on the Shop Disney Parks app? The magicband is available on the app currently.

  • Is there a place online to buy a shirt or is it exclusive only to the park? I have a friend who adores Hocus Pocus but wasn’t able to make it to Magic Kingdom this year and the shirt is already getting exorbitant prices on other websites.

  • Is the iPhone cover available showing the Mickey with the orange background?

  • Can you only purchase the Magic Band during a MNSSHP? If so, that’s kind of unfair for those of us that hit up one of the earlier parties.

  • I just got back from 7 days at Disney, including MNSSHP, and also would have loved the magic bands 🙁

  • We are going the 31 of October will they still be available?

  • I got the shirt while I was at the park last week. It’s a great shirt, except for one thing – I can’t find Oogie Boogie. He had a prominent role in the show, yet I can’t seem to locate him. I do see:

Sanderson Sisters (front and center – naturally!)
Dr. Facilier on the left, Maleficent in the middle, Evil Queen on the right.
In the shadows on Maleficent’s arms: Lady Tremaine, Captain Hook, Jafar, Hades, Cruella and Diablo.

    So where’s Oogie Boogie?

  • Is there anyway to purchase the shirt and phone case if we still have our party wristband? We attended the 9/20 party and the shirts were already sold out.

  • Hi Steven! I would love to see this Hocus Pocus artwork sold as a poster or print in the future or even at next year’s party.

How much will the MagicBand cost?

Also, eagerly awaiting the Shellie May announcement on the Disney Parks Blog that you teased in a previous article!!!! Will we be hearing anything soon, I hope? Thanks.

  • Hi Steven, I noticed that the new purple graphic MagicBands released today are lighter and thinner and fit better on my wrist. Will this change be coming to all future MagicBands as well?

  • When will Disneyland start doing magicbands? Any plans on this?

    • @Kristina – I am not aware of any plans for them at this time.

  • i already have the shirt but im planning on going again to the party on october 22 so im hoping i see the magic band and the phone cover!! hoping!

  • Does the MagicBand have any special effects at touch points like last year’s party MagicBand did?

    • @Courtney – I was not given any information. Typically, we consider those things “surprises” so we prefer to keep it a surprise if there was anything planned. It is important to note that this MagicBand is limited release. I’ve noticed that limited release MagicBands don’t necessarily have special effects associated.

  • Any plans to have this at Disneyland Resort? My wife loves this movie and would love to get at least the shirt.

    • @John – I’m not aware of any such plans at this time.

  • I was just there 9/18 (before leaving on the 19th for my Disney Cruise) and they didn’t even have any t-shirts. Will the t-shirt be available online do you know?

    • @Martha – There are no immediate plans to carry this shirt online.

  • I won’t be going to the party till next Friday, I was wondering if the Magicband will still be available then.

    • @Pablo – I hope you have a great time! Availability of the retail MagicBand will depend upon how popular it is with guests. I know they will be sold during the parties on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Would we be able to take our bands from a party in september and purchase the magic band during the day, after it is released?

  • I second Jennifer’s concern. We went to the first party and a lot of the merchandise sold out before we even saw it, like the Hocus Pocus Shirts. I would love to buy the shirt and MagicBand, but I don’t think I want to pay another $70+ just to buy them.

  • What about all of those that went to the parties in Sept?? Will we be able to purchase the bands since they weren’t released until now? Not exactly fair.

    • @Jennifer – I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment. The retail MagicBand was a surprise addition to our assortment for this year’s events. It will be released starting tonight at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party while supplies last.
