During this year’s event, Anna became the first to ever win the race four years in a row! “I’ve never had a kid work harder, who was more committed and a great leader” said coach Jan Mitchell. “Anna helped organize activities for the three days our team was in Florida to have an amazing Walt Disney World vacation.”

Jan coached Anna and freshman sister, Sarah, who finished the race in second place. One of Anna’s early seasons goals was to win the Disney Cross Country Classic for the 4th year since it was the first race she ever won as a freshman. This race begins Anna’s farewell tour, this being her last year to participate at the Walt Disney World Resort.

  • Good for Anna! I was a cross country runner in high school and was one of the top in the state of California. I know how hard this sport is. She will make it far in life and I am sure many coaches are recruiting her across the nation. #McFarlandUSA
