The holidays will be here before you know it, so I’m sure the topic of gift-giving is already on many of your minds. One of the best parts about giving a gift is watching the recipient open it joyfully. When you surprise your kids with the gift of a Disney cruise, there are many things you can do to make it a memorable family moment. Whether it’s tomorrow or on Christmas morning, here are six fun ways to announce your upcoming Disney Cruise Line voyage…

What are some of the ways you’ve given the gift of a Disney cruise to your family?

  • Santa, I believe Stafford was referring to “Reveal YOU destination en route.”

  • Our kids will be receiving a phone call on Christmas morning from Mickey announcing our trip. They will also have a wrapped box full of custom made cruise shirts and swim gear(goggles, swim shoes, bathing suits etc.) Can’t wait!!

  • The first cruise we told the kids they had to get up very early to get in line at Macy,s for a free shoe give away. When they came down stairs early that morning we had a big banner telling them about the cruise. Everything was packed and we went on to the airport.
The second time we sent the two youngest kids on a scavenger hunt. What a surprise

  • Stafford, you’re is spelled correctly.

  • Typo in 6th bullet – I think you mean “gift all” and not “giftall”.

  • Last yer my sister and mom surprised my daughter and I at Christmas with a present saying we were going to Disney world an on a cruise. We all had to wear Mickey stockings. It was such a surprise, I cried happy tears. It was the best surprise ever for my daughter a we just lost her dad that year. A trip we will never forget.

  • I put together a folder of different pictures of the Dream plus the airline tickets and destinations and wrapped it up and put it under the tree.

  • You misspelled “Your” in the second bullet point

  • We surprised our kids with a Disney Cruise last year… they thought we were going to the beach for a long weekend… It wasn’t until we were almost at the Port that we gave them the news in the car… we told them to look to the left (where you could see the ship in the distance). My son immediately got it and was so excited. My daughter was heartbroken we weren’t going to the beach – until we were actually in the terminal and saw Goofy… then all was right with the world. :o)
