Fell in love w/ Disney Cruise. As firsttime cruisers, we had a blast. We started in San Diego which was a surprise. We always thought Disney cruise almost always sail somewhere else in Folrida. This was a great cruise from the time you board. A very welcoming environment. We had 9 in the group but separate rooms. My family comprised of 5 members and we got the Oceanvieww/ verandah such a great room w/ separate shower room. Everyday was filled w/ activities. The Pirates night was fun for the whole family and even w/ our friends. We had all our Halloween costumes. Food was great–gosh all of them were great. Kids & teen club activities all day. Tip : start as soon as you stepped in. Grab a program for the day and zoom to them… Check out the whole ship…amazing view. Bring a great camera. Tip extra if u wish but gratutities are already part of your bill. Your choice to tip additinal for excellent servers, room service, etc. bring your wine bottles and great cork openers… So much to do… Enjoy, enjoy get your money’s worth! The Disney store prices aint that bad either…you cant find the shirts they sell in a regular mall disney store…so if u like it buy it there. Go before a show coz it’s going to be a long line if there’s a show in the theatre. Get yoir soivenirs ready coz there will be the captain signing them on your last night… Best of luck!!! Disney Cruise is the best and will sure book another cruise again~~~ Europe and Alaskan in our bucket list:)
My husband and I never thought we’d be able to cruise with Disney. You see, once we got to a point in life where we can take the time to enjoy cruising, his came up with serious health issues, which resulted in dialysis 3 times a week. I had heard of a company that contracts with all the major cruise lines and so hoped Disney would be one of them. But unfortunately no.
But to my surprise, I just happened upon a two night, Cruise to Nowhere out of San Diego and immediately booked our Disney Cruise.
Althougth everything was jammed packed into two nights we dressed as Pirates, ejoyed two stage shows, sat in awe as we watched the fireworks off the port bow, and took in the rotational dining (loved Animator’s Palette – we were seated on the center aisle – yeah Mickey !!).
I’m saddened that the company will not offer any of the two nights in the future. But at least I can say YES I cruised with Disney and it was totally Magical!
I’ve been on one Disney Cruise (and lots with other lines) about a year ago when they partnered with Turner Classic Movies for a theme cruise (talk about a marriage made in heaven). It was the one of the best ever…..very elegant. It was a bit different, since most of the passengers were big time movie fans, so there were only about a dozen kids on the ship. So all of us “adults” felt like kids having the characters and wonderful experiences all to ourselves 😉 I’m also a DVC member and will be taking another Disney cruise in April for our honeymoon using my points (yay, “free” cruise!) So, I’m an official fan of the Disney cruise line for sure!!!
I think it make it n1 because of the first day you book the excitement day by day when you crazy and exited to board on the ship the day you get your document with Mickey Mouse and email reminde you the you almost there the first day you get to the resort and patiently waiting to be 11 to board the bus and your so exited to board when you get to the port and there welcoming you and check in and they call your group and your there when cast member begin to make you feel your home when they ask you your last name and they welcome you and all cast member are clapping and welcoming you all those details that I could go on and on with servers your room all those detail make it 1 for me I love disney cruise line Hope to soon be on board one of the vessels
