UPDATE: This event has been filled to capacity. Please keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future event opportunities.

As you know, this holiday season marks the finale for The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And today, we’re announcing an upcoming meet-up where you’ll have the opportunity to join us and enjoy this holiday treat at a special after-hours gathering.

The Disney Parks Blog is hosting the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Meet-Up on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. ET at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We are asking attendees to begin arriving at 9:30 p.m. ET to check in for the late night event.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing lights features millions of glittering lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music. Brilliant multi-colored bulbs wrap the buildings, changing hues and brightness throughout the show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

RSVP for the meet-up now by sending us an email titled, “Osborne Lights Meet Up” with your name, address and if you’ll be bringing a guest to Only one guest is permitted. A limited number of attendees may attend the meet-up, so be one of the first to sign up.

Also, there are a few things you should know:

  • All attendees who sign up for the meet-up must be 18 years or older, but guests do not need to be 18 or older.
  • Limit one guest per registrant.
  • We will send an email to individuals whose valid RSVPs are received by us via email before we reach the planned capacity to confirm their attendance for the meet-up.
  • Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
  • Meet-up confirmations are non-transferrable and have no cash value.
  • Confirmation will be for the accepted registered person and guest.
  • If you do not receive an email from us confirming your reservation, then your RSVP was not accepted.
  • The meet-up is subject to change or cancellation without notice.

This post will be updated after capacity has been reached.

Hope to see you there.

  • Does anyone know if there will be a MVMCP meet up ? We only have one Disney day on December the 6th and would love to be a part of it.

  • I got into the event! So excited!

  • Ahhhh!! I’m so excited that I got in! Been trying to attend one of these for years!

  • My wife and I got our confirmation emails about a half hour ago. She got her rsvp in less than 5 min after the post came out, and I got mine in less than 10 min. Looking forward to seeing this!

  • I am so excited. I received my confirmation email.

  • Just got our confirmation email also.

  • Just got my confirmation email.

  • Nothing here. And I was extremely early.

  • Did the winners get notified?

  • Has anyone been contacted yet?

  • Deborah, I suggest clicking on the orange “Subscribe RSS” button at the top of the page. You can then set it up so that you get a notification when a new post is published. You can also set notifications through Twitter when they tweet the post. Personally I usually just have a friend who gets notifications send me an urgent text telling me to sign up.

  • If you have access to a twitter account, you can do as my wife and I do; we have notifications from the DisneyParks twitter account sent to our phone when they post. Granted, you get a lot of extra texts, but it helps catch when they post them, if we’re paying attention, that is.

  • Based on the last event, they will probably send out emails to the winners on Monday.

  • I have watched for this event every day.I cant be on this sight 24 hours a day.I come here every day and have never got in to one of these events. And it seems like a lot of them are always the same people. How do they do it.I have been a passholder for years and have never got in to one of these events.Deb

  • Hopefully I still have a chance. Anyone know when they usually send out the emails?

  • I never received anything..

  • Kelly, nobody has received notice yet.

  • Has anyone received an acceptance email yet? I got my rsvp in under 10 min, my wife about 5 min after the meet up was posted. They usually post the list of names of people who get in around mid afternoon but nothing yet. Just wondering if anyone’s heard. My guess is there are going to be alot of people who get in. Maybe 150-200 people.

  • Did anyone get an email saying they won a spot?

  • I was on the moment it popped up (seriously it said posted “just now” on the post) I am a very fast typer and had my email sent within a minute and I apparently didn’t get it. So tell me again how easy it is to get into these things?!?

  • It is not impossible Jennifer, you just have to be in the right place (here) at the right time (when they post). California’s meet-ups seem to go within 2-3 minutes. Florida seems to last 10-20 on most meets. They also have started to vary the times that the meet ups are posted. They used to be almost always at 9am but started to shift to afternoons, evenings, mid morning, and well you get the point. I win some, I lose some….. but fastest fingers win 🙂

  • Agree that it’s almost impossible to get into these events. I check the blog all the time and apply, have never gotten to go. I think the people are already selected before they post it on the blog.

  • I wish there was a better way to join meet ups. I check the blog as often as possible, but I never get in to go to any of the meet ups.

  • I would love to get a private viewing of the lights!! Seeing the lights has been a family tradition for over a decade. I’m very sad to see them go.

  • Are you having people come in the main gate at closing to enter for the event? I’m at the park that night attending the desert party and I’m now worried that it will be near impossible to move in the area with a “free” event happening at the same time. The time you have listed appears to reflect that it is happening after closing. I’m okay with that as long as I get my time in prior. Thanks !

  • How about you just keep the Osborne lights?

  • Does your guest need a valid park pass to attend/enter the park?

  • Aw shucks! We’ll be in WDW that day but have tickets for Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba that night!!
