  • Thank you so much for such a great event last night. It’s always a treat to get to see Aladdin on stage at.California Adventure. Your questions and the audience’s questions were insightful, and it was a special opportunity to learn about the decisions that went into the creation of the show from the creative director, sych why Apu was not included in the show and that the buddy aspect of the story was emphasized in trimming the story down.

Hopefully the next musical stage show coming to the Hyperion will be a worthy successor to Aladdin, and appeal to adults and the whole family.

  • Thanks, Jason! Fingers crossed it’ll go smoothly. We are SO excited about this event!! Aladdin is my husband’s favorite. 🙂

  • Allison, you don’t need the email. They have a list of registered people at the registration area.

  • Hi Erin, please advise– my husband successfully registered for this event, but can’t find the email in his inbox! We are panicking. Is there any way staff can look him up at the check-in location?

    • Jason is correct – photo ID is all you need.

  • This sounds like a really fun opportunity! I hope everyone has a good time! 🙂

  • My sister-in-law got a ticket for her son and herself, but she also has a 2 year old. Can she also bring him along for the meet-up?

    • Yes, children under 3 won’t count as your guest.

  • Super excited to be going with my son! This is our family’s favorite activity in California Adventure, and we are sad that it will be closing. Thank you for offering this wonderful event.

Erin, do you know if the Hyperion will be full for the performance? Is it an event for the press as well? I’m wondering, do we need to be there as early as possible to get a good seat, or will the audience be fairly small?

    • Glad you can join us! This event is for fans only – it’s not a press event.

  • I saw this come in but i didn’t read the whole title. I literally felt that they were rubbing it in that the show was going away, so I didn’t bother looking at it at the time. I hope people have a great time. I’m going to try and catch my favorite show one more show before it’s gone.

  • Is there any reason why this show (and Disneyland’s Fantasmic, etc) close on Jan 10 when you are hosting the Star Wars half marathon the following weekend? The crowds will be huge that weekend for the various races and yet you close the big attractions the week before?

  • To confirm, there are no events scheduled for January 10th. 2016? Thanks, you’re awesome! -Kyle

    • At this time, we do not have a Disney Parks Blog meet-up scheduled for that day. I don’t know about any other types of events, but if we hear of anything, we’ll let you know! You’re awesome, too. 🙂

  • can you show up at Disneyland to the area and if someone doesn’t show or if there are openings can we take that spot?

    • I’m sorry, Stephanie, but we will not have a stand-by line.

  • Hi! I successfully registered, and received a confirmation #, but realized that the email address I gave has a typo. Am I still good?

    Thanks!

    • Just bring your photo ID and you should be fine.

  • I need help with my waiver. Do we provide a photo or will they be taken at check in?

    • All you need is a government-issued photo ID.

  • Whitney from California post number 8, since you cant make it I was wondering if I could take her place and bring a guest. Is that okay Erin Glover? Write back if I can and what I need to give to you or if you need my email.

    • I’m sorry, Stephanie – we’re not able to process replacements.

  • Hi Erin, how long should the confirmation email take to come?

    • You should have received it by now.

  • Will there be another special event or at least a special meet and greet with the actors since the shows ending. I see the show every time I go to California adventure, can’t believe I missed out in this

  • Will there be a stand by line or any sort of method to fill in case of no shows? I had opened the registration link at about 1:24 and inputed my information, and once I hit submit, the page said the event had closed; so I just barely missed it! Would love to be part of it if possible.

  • So excited! I can not wait! will a child under the age of 3 count as a plus one? and will we have access to the park? Thanks again!

    • Children under 3 will not count as your guest.

  • As someone who’s seen the Aladdin show more times than I can count, missing out on this sucks. 🙁

  • I really would have enjoyed this event , I try to go to the Aladdin show whenever I visit the park and this would have been a great way to honor a one of a kind show that’s never exactly the same each time. I always try to sit in a different area of the theater to get a different perspective of the workings ( including peeks at the backstage action when I sit in the front row on the very end of the row) Hopefully I will at least get into the very last performance on Jan. 10

  • Also, where is Ticket Booth 4? Is it in the booths closest to downtown disney, or on the opposite side where the buses unload?

    • It is in the southwest corner of the Disneyland Resort Esplanade, or the Downtown Disney side closest to Disney California Adventure park. We’ll have signs to help you find your way.

  • Is there a recommended/reserved parking location for this event?

    • There is not reserved parking; guests are responsible for their own parking fees.

  • So sad that I wasn’t able to sign up for this event. Hope that another opportunity like this comes along again before Aladdin leaves!

  • Will there be snacks? I’m trying to decide who to take with me.

    • We do not have lots of snacks planned … no chocolate buffet this time, for example. 🙂

  • yay! i got in! looking forward to this! i absolutely love this Aladdin show! 🙂 Thanks for putting this together. What time does the actual event start and end?

    • Guests must check in by 7:30 pm to participate.

  • I didn’t read this closely enough and thought it was in January not December, haha. Is there anyway you can cancel mine and let someone else go who can actually make it?

    • Unfortunately, we’re not able to do that but I appreciate you letting us know!

  • Will there be time to see the rest of the park, or will it just be Aladdin?

  • Thanks, Erin. Looking forward to attending!

  • Thank you so much! I am sad to see the show go, but excited for one last performance.

  • Yay! I can’t wait!

  • Do you need park admission to go to this event? My AP is valid that day but my friends in blocked out

    • Park admission will be provided for registered participants and their guests.

  • What time does the actual event start, not just the registration?

    • All guests must check in by 7:30 pm to participate.

  • Oh my gosh – I got in! What a great way to celebrate my daughter’s 26th birthday! Thank you Erin!

    • Glad you’ll be celebrating with us!
