Here at Disney Parks, we’re always looking for ways to make a great experience even better. Now the popular Cove Bar at Paradise Pier in Disney California Adventure park has been expanded to offer more seating for our guests.
From this expanded alfresco patio, you can sit back and enjoy those famous Lobster Nachos while you watch guests take off from the launch zone on nearby California Screamin’. The Cove Bar will continue to serve the delicious bites and cocktails you love, so stop by on your next visit to Disney California Adventure park!

So to clarify: if I am 18 years old, I can come and sit down at a table to enjoy lobster nachos, but the only things that I cannot do is sit at the bar and order alcohol, correct?
I know that as of now that Donald is over by Goofy’s Sky school for Christmas but after Christmas where will he be at now send this Bar is where he once was at over at DCA. I have always like to see Donald at DCA. So where will he be over there now after Christmas?
So happy about this! We LOVE this place but hate then wait when there are more than 4 of us.
@Keith, I don’t know about you but for the most part when I go to the cove it’s to sit and relax in the sun and have a drink! If I want a quick beer to sip in line, I hit up the carts.
So they added seating, but not an additional service bar? Ho boy will service be slow…
You can bring the family into The Cove; only 21+ may sit at the bar, but I see families at the tables all the time when I am there. 🙂
Disney has realized, when you sell alcohol, you need more room.
I cant wait to go and try to Lobster Nachos!
Are kids allowed to sit in there with their parents? I know it’s a bar, but this is Disney, so I’m never sure. Besides, I have seen kids in adult only places at other Disney locations. We will be visiting in 2 weeks and I’d like to check it out. Thanks!
Hi Gina – Yes, children are welcome.
A welcome and much needed addition.
