One of the newest additions to the Disney Dream, Senses Juice Bar, is serving up juices and smoothies made-to-order from fresh fruits, vegetables and other nutritious ingredients. Its ocean-view sitting area is an exclusive retreat for adults, located steps from the spa and fitness center.
The menu is fully customizable, but I highly recommend you try out our unique, nutrient-rich combinations. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing recipes from the menu, starting today with one that is perfect for athletes to replenish after a vigorous workout.
Ingredients
- 6 Spinach leaves
- ¼ Carrot
- ½ Avocado
- ¼ Fresh ginger
- 6 Basil leaves
- 2 tbs Manuka honey
- 5 oz Water
Directions
- Blend with or without ice based on desired consistency.

Please clarify what “1/4 fresh ginger” is. While 1/4 of a carrot could also vary depending on the size of the carrot, 1/4 of a ginger root has huge variation. Most recipes describe quantity of fresh ginger root in terms of 1″ cubes, etc. Obviously personal preference will play a part, but when you’re so specific about number of spinach leaves, it would be nice to have an indication of how much ginger your smoothie artist thinks is well balanced – for standards and consistency.
