Some of you may have seen fellow Disney Parks Blog author Kevin Rafferty’s recent post sharing the exciting news about the Make-A-Wish “Share Your Ears” campaign or even saw it featured on “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60” last night on ABC. Our merchandise team has been hard at work creating a very special limited release ear hat featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle to support this incredible campaign. Here’s your first look at the limited release ear hat that you can add to your very own collection.
I have even more exciting news! One hundred percent – 100%! – of the $19.95 sale price (exclusive of sales tax) of the ear hat shown above will be donated to Make-A-Wish — helping make wishes come true around the world for children with life-threatening medical conditions. No discounts apply. Purchasing limits will apply, and this particular ear hat will be available at Disneyland Resort only at the following locations.
- Disneyland park – Disney Showcase and Emporium
- Disney California Adventure park – Elias & Co.
- Downtown Disney District – World of Disney Store
Here are other ways you can participate:
Share Your Ears and share the power of a wish by helping Make-A-Wish and the Disneyland Resort enrich the lives of children dealing with life-threatening medical conditions. Simply take a photo of yourself wearing your “Mickey Mouse ears”—create your own, if you like, out of just about anything—and upload it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #ShareYourEars. Disney Parks will donate $5 for each photo posted, up to a total of $1,000,000.
As you can see, some good friends of mine got in on the action! Thanks for sharing your ears, Disneyland Resort cast member Ashley Cortez and Disneyland Resort Ambassadors Jessica Bernard and Allie Kawamoto!

Can you put names on these Ears? They look beautiful!
Hi Robbie! You definitely can have your ears embroidered. Just remember there is a nominal fee for embroidery/personalization.
For how long will these be available?
There is a limited quantity available. The special ear hat will be available while supplies last starting today.
Those ears are so beautiful! I wish I was at the parks to buy mine. However, I did post a couple photos on my social media accounts with the #ShareMyEars hashtag! 🙂
I love the hats and what a great cause! May the Force be with the 60th Celebration!
Ooh, are those holographic ears?
The ears are screened but as you can see are somewhat see through and reflective. I love the fireworks that appear on them.

Hello! The hats will be available while supplies last. Be sure to pick one up! It’s a great way to participate.
I can’t wait to see these and get one!!!! I’m going on Leap Day (my actual birthday!) so I’m super excited!!!
Happy early birthday Jessica! I hope you enjoy your special day at the Resort and hopefully you can #shareyourears with us after you get them!
Will the diamond ears hat that Neil Patrick Harris wore during the Disneyland 60 TV special be available?
Hi Ryan! That’s a great question. That particular ear hat was donated by Disney Parks to Make-A-Wish who is offering it via a sweepstakes promotion with Prizeo. Here is the link for more details. https://www.prizeo.com/prizes/disney/magical-mickey-mouse-ears/default
Howdy!
Having ones ear to the ground for such fantasmic news is just as great as a good book. Those little beauties will shade me from the Heat.
So glad that you like them Brian and Karen! Such a special cause and wonderful way to participate! I would even venture to say they’d make you feel like you’re the king of the Castle
I was at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure today and there were still plenty of the ear hats available!
I was wondering though, the new blue Minnie headbands with the white stars, are those part of the Make a Wish drive too? One of the Cast Members at the World of Disney store had said that they were part of the drive too, but they didn’t have the tag that the hat did about the proceed donations.
Hey Deserae! You are absolutely right, there are still plenty of the Make-A-Wish hats available at the Resort, but tell your friends not to wait to long to pick one up. As for the Minnie headbands you are referencing, they were not developed in association with this campaign. However any of our ear hats and headbands can be used to #shareyourears across social platforms.
How many can you purchase at one time?
Hi Diane! Guests can purchase up to twenty-five hats at one time.
**Topic of #ShareYourEars** If the settings of where the photo is posted is set to something other than “public”, it will not be seen by others.
So, on Facebook, in any “closed” or “secret” group, those photos with the hashtag will not show either.
To clarify: The photos –with the appropriate hashtag– must be public to be seen by others. And they must not be solely posted in a Group, or the settings of the the Group may prohibit the photos with the appropriate hashtag from being seen.
The reason for this post is to share the information, and help the wonderful cause be successful.
Why are these ears only being sold in limited supply? It would be great to be able to buy a pair of ears and have that money go to Make-A-Wish all year round!
I will be visiting Disneyland next week. Are there still ears available?
Is there a way to get them without going to the park?
Are there still any of these ear hats left at the park?
