Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside holds a special place in my heart, as it was one of the first Disney resort hotels I ever stayed at. I remember visiting when I was a tween and thinking it was an absolute paradise!

And it does look pretty dreamy in this week’s “Morning” photo. What’s your favorite part about spending a vacation here?

  • We were there 4 weeks ago and will be back in another 4 weeks (yes, I said weeks- you can do that when you’re retired!). Lovely gardens, great location, really enjoy the boat trip to Disney Springs and the design your own pasta bar in the Food Court is great for vegetarians. Can’t wait to get off the Magical Express and see it all again.

  • Port Orleans Riverside is peaceful, we stay there every year.
The nachos at the bar are Delicious!

  • My family and I love POR. We stay there every year. We love the wonderful theming and even though the resort is large the landscaping muffles sound making it very peaceful. It’s great to come home to in the evening. We also love the boat ride to disney springs.

  • One of my absolute favorite resorts! My husband and I stayed there for two weeks on our honeymoon in 2013! Such great memories.

  • POR is my home away from home. Got ressies there again for this November/December. Yeehaa Bob’s show is always a must-do when i’m there.

  • We love Riverside. Wish they had lodging for 6 people. The Bob Jackson show is awesome.

  • I love the relaxed mood that permeates this resort. It is great place to unwind after a hectic day. I especially enjoy chilling at the lounge or taking a ride on the boat to Disney Springs. I agree that the gluten free options are wonderful for those of us with wheat allergies. Nothing better than not having to worry about these things when on vacation.

  • We loved the beautiful Garden and River views from our room. The boat ride to Disney Springs is so peaceful and gives you a different perspective of the area. We loved the princess rooms too!

  • Stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago, love the scenery and the Royal Guest room was pretty nice. Wouldn’t mind staying in it again but I do want to stay in the Treehouse Villas next time I go!

  • I love the peacefulness, the beauty of a stroll along the river beneath the Magnolia Trees, being able to ride the boat to Disney Springs, and the awesome array of gluten free options at the food court!

  • The walk to breakfast is so peaceful! First thing in the morning the resort is quiet, the birds are singing, and the scenery is picture perfect. It is the perfect stress free way to start a Disney day!
