It’s only March, but Disney’s Night of Joy 2016 will be here before we know it; and we wanted to give you an update, including the exciting lineup of talent coming to this year’s event.

As we told you last year, Disney’s Night of Joy 2016 will expand, with the concerts being held for the first time ever at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This year’s artists represent one of the best lineups in all of Christian Music with 15 top performers and groups including 2015 Grammy® Award Winner Francesca Battistelli.

  • Friday, September 9 – MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Francesca Battistelli, Crowder, Matthew West, Stars Go Dim, Zealand Worship
  • Saturday, September 10 – newsboys, for King & Country, Young & Free, Switchfoot, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Tim Timmons

This year, we’re expanding Disney’s Night of Joy in many ways. Guests will have more options than ever with two nights of Contemporary Christian music, ample seating at indoor and outdoor venues, amazing performances on multiple stages, including Champion Stadium, and opportunities for fellowship and fun. We also have ticket options that allow you to maximize the park time doing rides and then maximize your concerts and fellowship time at night – plus you pick your park!

We caught up with Night of Joy artist Matthew West and his family checking out ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex earlier this year.

Fans will have more ticket options for this year’s event than ever before. They will be able to purchase:

  • A single-night ticket for Friday’s concerts – $39 plus tax (in advance); $45 the day of the show (if available).
  • A ticket which would include a day at one of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and the concerts for Saturday night – $99 plus tax (in advance); $114 plus tax the day of the show (if available).
  • A 2-Day ticket which includes both nights’ concerts, a day at one of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks – $119 plus tax (in advance).

And, if that weren’t enough, guests who purchase the 2-Day ticket before August 9, 2016 will also receive one (1) admission to their choice of Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon from September 6 – September 12, 2016. Group discounts also are available.

Tickets will go on sale in mid-April.

  • I already have an annual pass for Disney, what do I pay if i only want to go to the concert on Saturday?

  • Last year was our first year at night of joy and the fact that it was in the magic kingdom made it magical in both an auditory and sensory way that the ESPN arena won’t. We also have a limited budget and felt that Night of joy was that one time of the year we could regularly attend the park filled with the Holy Spirit. We have been waiting 20 months for their dad, my husband to be granted a green card to join us in that magic moment and he is finally here. Unfortunately it is now just another concert in another concert venue. The tickets to the magic kingdom are an added cost, small yes but when there are 5’of you it adds up. We will always remember the beauty of hundreds of people raising their hands in praise with the back drop of cinderellas castle. We won’t be attending this year. Let us know when you make the concerts magical again. God bless.

  • My nephew is going to be with us and he has epilepsy and won’t be able to do the water parks. Can you trade the water park ticket in for putt putt or something else?

  • Do pass holders get any discounts on the 2 night concert thanks

  • If I get the 2 day ticket and can’t go to the water park then can I give the water park ticket to my family member or is it all on 1 ticket for everything?

  • Will there still be access to Magic Kingdom Park during the night of the concerts?

  • I am very excited! For King and Country was my favorite band last year!!!

  • Hello! When will tickets go on sale? Thanks!

  • Really disappointed to see that this won’t be at the Magic Kingdom this year. Unfortunately, this is the reason we will not be attending in 2016.

  • Making the leap that the admission will only be good on Saturday, I looked at the various park hours listed for Sept. 10th. MK is currently listed as only being open until 10PM, EPCOT 9 PM, Studios 8 PM and AK 5 PM. This hardly covers the concert times for offering transportation back and forth between the concert venue and the parks! Furthermore, anyone at concerts until 1 AM Friday night, probably won’t want or be able to enjoy any park on Saturday before those concerts. Disney PLEASE let the single park ticket be good any day between September 6-12. It’s sad enough that we won’t get our Christian music in an actual park this year and that it appears like a separate concert event.

  • So excited for Young & Free! Traveling form California for this!

  • Seriously?!? No Skillet???!!!

  • So no more concerts in the magic kingdom park? No more kids riding at night in between concerts?

  • I’m disappointed the event was moved away from the MK. The main reason for us to attend was listening to worship music, prayers and testimonies at the MK and knowing that people who stayed past the regular park hours could hear the Gospel. This is now just a regular concert. I hope it is moved back to it’s rightful place in the future.

  • I’m still over here in California hoping you’ll remember the West Coast and bring Night of Joy to Disneyland someday. Getting over to Florida isn’t exactly easy for a lot of us…

  • Wait….? Where is Skillet? NOOOOOO!!!! 🙁

  • LOVE THIS! I’ve been waiting! So excited!

  • Will the theme park admission with the Saturday ticket only be good on Saturday or can it also be used anytime during the same window as the water park admission (for early purchase of both nights)?

  • Will there be an option for a single night ticket for Saturday night as well or is the only option for Saturday the $99 ticket?

    • The event has been designed this year as a full-day experience, so that guests can enjoy the Walt Disney World Theme Parks without missing any of their favorite bands on Saturday. Guests interested in only the concert experience will have that option on Friday.

  • Will there be transportation provided to Wide World of Sports for Night of Joy from DVC properties?

    • We’re still working out all the details regarding transportation. Stay tuned for updates.
