The 2016 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival has returned to Walt Disney World Resort through May 30 this year. A few weeks ago I shared a first look at new products being released at this annual event in a Disney Parks Blog Unboxed video. Today, I have a look inside the Festival Center located in Future World between Mission: SPACE and Universe of Energy Pavilions.
As part of Fun Fresh Weekends, the Festival Center will be open Fridays through Sundays throughout the event. The location is home to complimentary gardening presentations and a massive merchandise shop.
I was happy to see several of the items I showcased in the Disney Parks Blog Unboxed video. These items include Figment T-shirts, hats, decorative items and much more. I was also delighted to find a table full of Orange Bird products including recently released kitchen towels and mugs.
Other items offered this year will include a garden figurine of Donald Duck with Chip and Dale, two coffee mugs and a purple flower pot. Look for additional decorative garden items including wind chimes and garden stakes.
For this event, we are releasing a limited edition retail MagicBand that has an edition size of 2,500.
Finally, fans of PANDORA Jewelry will be happy to find a new .925 sterling silver charm featuring Spaceship Earth with floral details. Look for this item at Mouse Gear in Future World.
The Festival Center is just one of several merchandise locations throughout Epcot where you’ll find select items shown in this article. Here are some additional items I found during my brief visit including Dooney & Bourke handbags, products created especially for Annual Passholders, and a beautiful 12-month calendar filled with image of character topiaries.
Hey Steven, I understand that the crossbody Dooney’s sold out earlier this week. Is there any chance they will be restocked, or are they completely gone for the rest of the festival?
We won’t be at Disney until the last few days of the festival in May – will there be lots of merchandise still available? I’m seeing a few things that I like!!
Please let us know if the merchandise will be avail on the Parks app!!!!
@Amy – I received word this morning that select items may appear on the Shop Disney Parks app starting next week. It won’t be everything and I know that Dooney & Bourke bags will not be included.
Thank you for the cute figment t-shirt for woman but please could you make the annual pass holder tops less unisex as very few woman look good in a crew neck. I’ve given up at buying the pass holder tops as they are just not pretty.
Figment, Orange Bird, Yoda…new Dooneys, new Pandora, new LE MagicBand…adorable tshirts and hats…I’m in merch heaven! Time to start saving up for that trip in April. Thanks for sharing, Steven!
Will the Dooney & Bourke purse be available on the Shop Disney Parks App? And any other Festival merch?
@Scott – Look for select items from the Flower & Garden Festival to appear on the Shop Disney Parks app next week. The Dooney & Bourke handbags will not be included at this time.
Will the merchandise be available on the shop Disney parks app?
@Cheryl – I was informed this morning that you may find certain event items on the Shop Disney Parks app starting next week.
Thank you so much for the preview of items. We will be at the festival next month and I am already planning on what I will be buying! No chance that I can flash my DLR pass for some of the WDW passholder merchandise?? Wishful thinking 🙂
Steven I am a huge fan of Figment!! I love that they are doing this years Flower & Garden Dooney & Bourke with Figment!! Any change they will do a Thumper and Miss Bunny themed one in the future? I love the Disney Bunnies and how cute would it be to have a Thumper and Miss Bunny design on a Dooney for the Flower and Garden festival!
@Sara – Glad to hear you are a Figment fan like me. I don’t know if any such plans for future development. We are currently focused on this event.
What about special Minnie Mouse Headband ears? Are there any?
@Megan – We are not offering Minnie Mouse headbands this year. I did see a Minnie Mouse hat that is part of our overall headwear assortment.
