This weekend, 400 Disney Parks Blog readers enjoyed a special advanced screening of Disney’s “The Jungle Book” here at AMC Downtown Disney 12 at the Disneyland Resort. And before the film rolled, they were greeted by the film’s director, Jon Favreau, who made a surprise appearance at the screening!

Based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an epic adventure about Mowgli, a man-cub who has been raised by a family of wolves. Featuring an all-star cast, “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.

Be sure to catch Disney “The Jungle Book” when it opens in theaters on April 15!

  • I would like to thank the Disney Parks Blog crew and all others that were involved in setting up this event. It was a truly unique moment to have Jon Favreau give us an introduction and insights on the making of the movie. The last time I had seen Erin I believe was the Mickey and the Magical map showing. It was an honor to be one of the first fans to see this great movie. I look forward to seeing it at the El Capitan soon.

  • Thank you so much for organizing this super special event Erin! The misses and I had such a lovely time. On that video you posted, watch what happens when you ask the “Who directed this movie?” question. I leap out of my seat to answer it! It never fails — when I’m lucky enough to attend an event like this, I always revert back to my four-year old self 🙂 That was such a cool segue into introducing Jon Favreau by the way!

  • Thanks for the opportunity to participate in another awesome blog event!
