It sure looks like Scuttle, Ariel’s friendly feathered pal from “The Little Mermaid” is enjoying the night at Tokyo DisneySea in this week’s “After Dark” image.
Scuttle is sitting atop his namesake attraction, Scuttle’s Scooters, which is located in the Mermaid Lagoon section of the park. In this attraction, guests take a quick spin aboard two-seater hermit crabs. Glimmering in the background of the shot, you can spy the park’s Mermaid Lagoon Theater, which is currently home to the guest-favorite production “King Triton’s Concert.”
Have you been to Tokyo DisneySea? What’s your favorite part?

I have been lucky enough to visit Tokyo Disney Resort two years ago. My favorite part of Tokyo DisneySea is definitely Mermaid Lagoon since I am a HUGE Little Mermaid fan! I must correct you, though. You say that what is seen in the background of the “After Dark” photo is Mermaid Lagoon Theater, but it is actually much more than that. What you see in the background is King Triton’s Castle, which is the exterior facade of the indoor area which makes up the majority of the Mermaid Lagoon “port” or area of Tokyo DisneySea. While the Mermaid Lagoon Theater is indeed within that indoor area, there is also many rides, stores, a restaurant and children’s play area all located there too. It is quite amazing and a must see for any Disney fan!
I got to go to Tokyo Disney Resort last year. My favorite area in DisneySea is Mysterious Island, and especially the Journey to the Center of the Earth attraction! It’s such a beautiful area in a gorgeous park!
