Happy Holidays! Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way!

“What?” you say. “You were just talking about Halloween a second ago.”

Well, I was; but when talking about THAT special event, a number of our great Disney Parks Blog readers asked about the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. So we wanted to get them to you as quickly as we could.

Here are the 21 festive nights where guests can find one of our favorite events in Magic Kingdom Park.

  • November – 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27, 29
  • December – 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22

Mickey Mouse presides over the holiday festivities during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. This enchanting after-hours party showcases special entertainment, including “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” and a holiday edition of the fireworks spectacular “Wishes,” as well as meet-and-greet opportunities with favorite Disney characters in holiday attire.

Tickets for both Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will go on sale later this spring.

Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more info.

  • Confused. What are the parade schedules for December 28, 2016? All I see is Party info. TIA

  • Curious when/if tickets for the Very Merry Christmas Party at Disneyland go on sale. When will dates be announced?? Thank you!

  • Any update as to when the tickets will be on sale?

  • how fast do the tickets for the halloween party sell out

  • I would also like to know when the tickets will be available for MVMCP. I already have my vacation in December booked and would like to be able to check this off my to-do list. Everything I have researched says that they are usually on sale by now. What gives?

  • I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE TICKETS FOR MICKEYS CHRISTMAS PARTY IS NOT ON SALE YET?LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME I ALREADY HAD MY TICKETFOR MICKEYS CHRISTMAS PARTY? I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND;I BOOKED MY DEC VACATION LIKE I DID THE LAST TWO YEARS AND REALLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE HOLD UP THANKS

  • Celebrate The Season stage show isn’t mentioned. Does this mean a new show will replace it?

  • If you purchase a multi day passport, is there an additional cost to attend the MVMCP?
    Thanks.

  • Thank you Denise!

  • For the person who asked, Thanksgiving week is always void of the Christmas party. I don’t know exactly why, but if I had to guess I would say it is because multiple early closings (shorter normal park hours) would cause MK to have a hard time handling the Thanksgiving week crowds.

  • Christmas time at Disneyland is great, there is no need to add a party and charge extra. I am curious as another person commented, when will the Disneyland Halloween part dates be available? The dates for Mickeys not so scary halloween, and the Christmas parties are already available. What about Disneyland?

  • I went last year, it was absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to go again!

  • Any idea when Halloween Party dates for Disneyland will be released?

  • Is there any chance there will be more dates added? I notice the Thanksgiving week is void of a party slot.

  • When you purchase a ticket for MVMCP do you also have to buy park admission?

    • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is its own ticket. You do not need additional park admission to attend the party.

  • You get this for free at Disneyland. I’ll agree with everything Sherry E. said. If you start charging for this you will lose a lot of people. These upcharge events are getting out of control.

  • I have to emphatically and respectfully disagree with Liz about getting a Christmas party at DLR. Not as many people want this as it would seem — and I am one of them. There’s no reason for it — our holiday fireworks, Christmas parade, snowfall and general nighttime entertainment have all been part of Disneyland Resort’s regular admission prices for many, many years. Why on earth would we want to pay an extra $60-ish for what we have already been getting with our general admission? It doesn’t make sense unless something brand new that we have never seen before is added in to a party.

The Halloween party at DL is different because it includes a fireworks show that was only available to the general public for one year — 2009 — and usually a small Cavalcade that is not part of the general daytime Halloween festivities (though last year Paint the Night was part of the party instead of the Cavalcade). From 2010 until now, Halloween Screams has been a Halloween party exclusive. But our Christmas Fantasy Parade and Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks have been holiday traditions for a very, very, very long time. Suddenly making those events the selling points of a hard ticket Christmas party would not go over well with a lot of people.

  • Any chance of ever getting this party at DLR? We have the Halloween Party, but would love to have the Christmas Party here 🙂

  • Would like to know when tickets be on sale thank you

  • I know this is for disneyworld but is there anything like this party in Disneyland in December?

  • Looking forward to these events. When will ticket prices for MNSSHP & MVMCP be released? Will prices be announced prior to sales date? Thanks!
