Last fall, we introduced retail MagicBand on Demand stations in select Walt Disney World Resort merchandise locations. At these stations, you can create and personalize a retail MagicBand in just a matter of minutes. The on-demand MagicBands are offered in a variety of colors, and, once printed, they can be easily linked to your My Disney Experience account. I recently learned new artwork was added to the on-demand stations, so I gathered a handful of my favorite designs to share with you.

New Disney Characters, 'Beauty and the Beast,' Duffy and ShellieMay MagicBand Artwork

There are currently three on-demand stations at Walt Disney World Resort – Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom Park, D-Tech on Demand boutique in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace, and Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (the latter only offers Star Wars-inspired designs).

The “Beauty and the Beast,” Duffy the Disney Bear, and ShellieMay designs are found at both the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Springs locations. You may also find “Bride” and “Groom” options as seen in the first image of this story.

I was happy to see two incredibly cute designs by one of my favorite artists, Jerrod Maruyama. These two options are currently only found at the Marketplace Co-Op location in Disney Springs.

Fans of the Haunted Mansion will love these four designs reminiscent of the stretching portraits from the attraction.

New MagicBand on Demand Artwork Inspired by Magic Kingdom Park Attractions

The Tomorrowland location also has some unique designs available including several current Magic Kingdom Park attractions. Look for additional artwork of classic attractions such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.

New MagicBand on Demand Artwork Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction

Finally, there are four Pirates of the Caribbean attraction options for guests who visit the Magic Kingdom Park location.

Which artwork is your favorite? Please share in the comments below.

  • Hi! these are so cool!! but i have a question, do i need to buy another one? or i could customize I already have?

  • Thanks for this post!! I love the Bride/Groom one! Can anyone confirm if these are available at the Tomorrowland station or is it just at Disney Springs? Our Disneymoon is in 3 weeks so I would love to avoid a wild goose chase with these if possible. haha. Thanks!!

  • Is there cinderella or Aurora (sleeping beauty) designs?

  • I’m hoping maybe I catch a lucky break and either a King Louie or TRON magic band design becomes available between now and our vacation in September. (I don’t figure my odds are very good.) Otherwise the plain one from our resort reservation is fine with me.

  • Will there ever be a magic band design of the country bears, or carousel of progress or one of tomorrowland theme? I really want one for the carousel of progress 🙂

  • I’m going to be in Disney World in August and my family and I are starting to look into the magic band designs, only I can’t find if there is a Tigger design. Tigger is my favourite Disney character and I’d be heart broken if there isn’t one anymore. I’ve seem pictures of people with it but I heard that some designs have been retired. Also, if we want an image on the magic bands and we want to have them printed in advance are all of the designs available to do so in advance?

  • I can’t wait to get the Tsum Tsum design ❤

  • Steven, can you get the Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom?

  • Do the have Dopey design for the band ?

  • If you buy a special design magic band, are they one-time-use only? Or can they be reused on future visits?

    • @Meg – They can be used multiple times as long as you have it associated with your My Disney Experience account.

  • Can anyone say if we can purchase these custom magic bands prior to us visiting Disney next month??

    Thanks

    Gary

    • @Gary – These retail MagicBands are only available via the on-demand stations listed in the article. There is currently not a way to pre-order these designs. You may find other graphic MagicBands on our Disney Parks online store. These can be linked to your My Disney Experience account in advance of your trip.

  • My favorites are the Main Street Electrical Parade and 20000 leagues under the sea. My husband will like Mr. Toad. Hopefully I can see these in person in October.

  • So nice to see you included the “Mickey Mouse Revue”. Didn’t think anyone other then us first year (1971) Disney addicts knew it was an actual attraction (31 visits to the MK since that first year). I would love to see it make a return to WDW. I enjoyed it so much as a child and it would be wonderful if my daughter to see it.

  • Pretty sure those aren’t Tsum Tsum designs, even though I’d like them to be. Very happy to see Duffy.

  • I wish there was an Enchanted Tikiroom one.

    • @Christopher – Same 🙂

  • I cannot even explain how excited I am about the Daisy Duck Magic Band!! She’s my favorite! There isn’t enough Daisy merchandise! lol??

  • Are there any Lion King designs? I would really love a Rafiki magicband seeing as he is one of my favorite Disney characters? If not these other designs are pretty cool and will definitely have to pick one up when I go in July!

    • @Derek – I don’t specifically recall those designs. But I invite you to check out the on-demand stations during your trip. I hope you have a great time in July 🙂

  • Hello, which WDW Resorts have these?

    • @Nathan – There are currently three on-demand stations at Walt Disney World Resort – Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom Park, D-Tech on Demand boutique in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace, and Star Wars Launch Bay in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (the latter only offers Star Wars-inspired designs).

  • Will the Jerrod Maruyama designs be available in a large quantity? Heading to Disney World/Disney Springs the day after Memorial Day. I’d love to get them for me and my gf!

    • @Tony – The MagicBand designs pictured in this article, including Jerrod’s artwork, are available via the on-demand stations. You’ll be able to create your own MagicBand with that artwork anytime you like. There are no quantities as the MagicBands are printed after a guest creates one. The best part is that the MagicBand is printed in a matter of minutes. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

  • Is there a Country Bear Jamboree one? Please say there’s a Country Bear Jamboree one!!

    • @Grant – I don’t recall seeing Country Bear Jamboree artwork as an option.

  • Love, love, LOVE the tsum tsum bands!

  • I recently purchased the Duffy Bear magicband and wore it to Magic Kingdom the other day! He is too cute!

    • @Rebekah – Sweet! Thank you 🙂

  • Love the Main Street Electric Parade and the ShellieMay!!! Bit you have to LOVE them ALL!!!!

  • I haven’t seen any Inside Out magicbands. Have I missed them or is there a reason they didn’t come out with any?

  • I’m not sure if my “Steven Budget” is big enough for all the ones I must buy. I still need Orange Bird, and now I’m adding Mr. Toad, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, & Main Street Electrical Parade to my list. I’m thinking one in each color would work.

    • @Kuleen – Ha! I think your choices are fantastic … especially the Orange Bird.

  • These enchanting and spellbinding designs are my favorite! Genius way to make your magic band story part is of your unforgettable Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
The Pirates of the Caribbean collection has just the right amount of pixie dust for me!
Can’t wait to try this out.
    Thanks for sharing Steven.

    • @Ellen – You’re welcome! Thank you for your comments 🙂

  • How much are these?

    • @Robert – A customized MagicBand is $24.99. A customized and personalized MagicBand (adding your name) is $32.99. Please note that all retails are subject to change without notice.

  • I haven’t seen that “Rest in Peace” gravestone On Demand design before! Very cool.

  • I wonder why we can’t bring in our Resort/Passholder Magicbands & have these designs printed on them? I was told they couldn’t by Cast Members but I hope this changes soon since I want one of the designs but to keep my current band since it has my name on the inside.

    • @Brent – Unfortunately, that is not an option we are offering at this time. I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you.

  • These are pretty cool! I especially like the Mr. Toad design!
