Some Disneyland Resort guests got more than they expected from an interactive billboard recently when Johnny Depp, dressed as his iconic character the Mad Hatter, was livestreamed directly to the resort to surprise guests. See Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” in theaters May 27. Directed by James Bobin, who brings his own unique vision to the amazing world Tim Burton created on screen in 2010 with “Alice in Wonderland,” Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” is written by Linda Woolverton and reunites the all-star cast from the worldwide blockbuster phenomenon, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, with Helena Bonham Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen, along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall.

WOW! That is wonderful! One minute your waving your MagicBand at the front gate and the next minute your greeted by the Mad Hatter 🙂 This is what I love about Disney, total guest immersion and it is only going to get better. Oh my goodness, if the Mad Hatter would have offered me a “drink this” or “eat this” magical snack I would have enjoyed the transformations!
