The opening of “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” is just over a week away, and everything is starting to come together to create an incredible theatrical adaptation of the story of sisters Anna and Elsa.

This new stage spectacle is the result of an amazing collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, Disneyland Resort, Tony Award-nominated director Liesl Tommy (“Eclipsed”) and a group of talented professionals with an impressive list of credits. In this behind-the-scenes look, scenic designer Robert Brill (“Cabaret,” “Guys and Dolls”), choreographer Christopher Windom (“Central Avenue Breakdown”) and music supervisor Jason Michael Webb (“The Color Purple,” “Motown: The Musical”) talk about how all the elements of the show work in harmony.

You’ll be able to see it all for yourself when “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” debuts May 27 at Disney California Adventure park.

Comments

  • I will be at the parks next week for vacation. I really want to see this show on Friday the 27 which is my last day there. Will there be special ticketing for it?

    • Andres – “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” is included in regular admission to Disney California Adventure Park. You can check the show times guide on the day of your visit for the performance schedule, and Disney’s FASTPASS service will also be available.

  • any way for a soft opening on 5/26 we leave that day 🙁

  • Good to know that the show will use Fastpass. This is what i was wondering as Aladdin had it before it closed. Cant wait to see it!

  • Will there be an AP showing or event prior to 5/27?
