Add a Splash of Disney to Your Summertime Cookout

The return of summer means more opportunities to enjoy meals outside with friends or family. For guests planning summertime cookouts, Disney Parks Merchandise has a variety of home goods that will add a splash of Disney to your dinner table. I found several products during recent visits to Disney Springs and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort.

While at Disney Springs Marketplace, I found these two aprons at World of Disney and Mickey’s Pantry. They are the perfect accessory when firing up the grill this summer.

The Mickey’s Pantry location also had cooking utensils such as appliqué over mitts with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The shop also carried a selection of cookbooks including “A Cooking Safari with Mickey” that was previously discussed on the Disney Parks Blog.

At the Marketplace Co-Op, I stopped by the Disney Centerpiece boutique which carries a fantastic selection of dinnerware. My newest obsession is the vintage collection that contains drinkware, dessert plates, placemats and more. The location also offers a 24-piece flatware set and a 5-piece service set that both have nods to Mickey Mouse.

Finally, I found an incredible selection of gourmet spices, teas, herbs, sea salts, sugars and more at The Spice & Tea Exchange located inside Mickey’s Pantry.

My other favorite place for unique flavors is Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The shop has African spice rubs and, my favorite, bottles of sweet and spice barbeque sauce from Flame Tree Barbeque restaurant.

Look for these items at select locations throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. We also carry a handful of home goods on the Disney Parks online store. For a much larger selection you can have shipped directly to your home, try using the free Shop Disney Parks mobile app.

  • Would love the Flame Tree Barbecue Sauce and a couple of other things. In the past, Disney Parks could not ship food items and I doubt that I could take the barbecue sauce on the plane. Is this something Disney would now ship? Will these items be available through the Disney app?

    • @Carol – The sauce is fantastic. Sadly, food items are not able to be shipped.

  • I love the new Believe in Magic castle placemats. Are they machine washable though?

(Also, can you tell me: is the Boardwalk Nike polo still white or did they get a new color? All the other resorts got updated colors, but NONE of them have been added to the App 🙁 so I’m wondering if I’m missing out on an updated Boardwalk polo).

    • @Jonathan – I checked the tag on the placemat: “Hand wash cold. Only Non-Chlorine Bleach when needed. Line Dry. Do Not Iron. Do Not Dry Clean.” As for the Nike Polos, the shirt for Disney’s Boardwalk Resort should be white.

  • @Carol. Maybe you like to consider to Fedex such items. We did that before. We got some stuff from Disney parks that would be heavy to bring back in the plane so we found a Fedex drop off location and send it home. A little on the expensive side but totally worth it for those hard to get items 🙂

  • Hello Steven, James’ wife here, I haven’t been on the blog for awhile and was wondering had there been any mention on this blog about the collaboration with Coach and their ltd. ed. of handbags and accessories?
Oddly I heard of it on the radio just yesterday and was able to order a bag (wristlet) unfortunately the larger handbag was sold out with no more to be replenished.
I write to you since I know you are all things Disney and merchandise.
So, if you can persuade Disney to keep up that collaboration, that would be incredible! I have a closet full of the D&B Disney bags and keep on collecting on that front, but these new Coach bags are just as incredible!
And just an fyi, that cute red polka dot apron, just was received today along with a really fun HTH plush robe for a certain spouse for our Wedding Anniversary…sshhhh! Also, I used the Disney app to get the Mickey HTH mug that was unavailable at the online store, great App!
sorry for the long post, hope you might be able to advise or let them know huge desire for more Coach!
    Thanks for your time!

    • @James’ Wife – The Disney Collection by Coach isn’t carried at Disney Parks locations so I did not have a story about them. I typically write about items that guests can find at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort or Disney Cruise Line. I’m not aware of plans to carry those items at Disney Parks. Glad to hear the app helped you find the mug. I think it’s one of the best things we’ve created as it gives access to so many products. Happy anniversary!!
