  • Is there a place to find where there are Gluten Free ice cream treats and toppings? My wife has Celiac Disease. I know we can have Mickey Bars and maybe frozen yogurt. But we’re also worried about cross contamination from ice cream flavors with gluten or from toppings that may not be GF. Would the ice cream server cast members know if these items are GF? Thanks.

  • Our family tradition is to grab a few Hot Fudge Sundaes at The Golden Horseshoe every year. That has to be the best ice cream, which the hot summer weather makes taste even better! We also traditionally each get a Dole Whip while enjoying the Tiki Room.

  • Even though I have gotten some from Golden Horseshoe, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, even on the old Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream on the California Zephyr (old DCA), the most favorite is Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar or the Ice Cream Nacho at Golden Horseshoe to share with me my girlfriend when I was working during my College Program. Enjoyed the experience while it lasted.

  • A Mickey Premium bar, a Dole Whip, and a Disney Parks popcorn scoop are my trifecta of snack happiness.

  • Please bring soft-serve ICE CREAM to Disneyland Park!

  • My favorite type of frozen dessert are the chocolate covered bananas ❤️❤️❤️

  • Do any Disneyland Resort locations also sell soy or other dairy-free frozen desserts along with their ice cream? We love Dole Whip, but are wondering if there are other dairy-free options available.

  • Rachel,
Clarabelle’s wasn’t open in either March nor in June. Is it now open on a regular basis? What are its hours?
    Thanks

  • While I do appreciate the Mickey Ice Cream Bars, I am more of a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich enthusiast myself!

Well, let’s be honest. I just love ice cream in general. I rediscovered my long-lost fondness for root beer floats last year, so Gibson Girl comes in handy for that.

I have eaten sundaes at Ghirardelli and at Carnation Café, but there is something fun about getting an ice cream cone and toting it out into the hot sun, trying to gobble it up before it all becomes a melted mess! I remember once sitting at a table just off of Main Street, trying to frantically sop up the wayward drops of peppermint ice cream that were rapidly leaking from a cone, onto the table and my clothes, in between bites — just as some friendly strangers and fellow park guests sat down and began chatting with me! Lol. I’m pretty sure I had ice cream on my face, in my hair and in my nostrils, but they didn’t mind. 🙂

And don’t even get me started on the time that an ice cream cone from Gibson Girl was the catalyst for a near catastrophe involving my camera, a curb and a trash can (I’m a klutz — what can I say?)… 😉 😉 So, yes, ice cream plays an important role in my Disneyland Resort visits!

  • We like to grab the Mickey Ice Cream Bars while we’re on the go. Easy to eat since it’s on a stick. And they are so good!

    • Those are my husband’s favorite as well! 🙂
