As a Storybook Land Canal Boats guide, Disneyland Resort cast member Lenny Dailey’s role combines a traditional tour guide, a canal boat captain and a storyteller. Lenny’s responsibilities include talking about the various miniatures in the attraction, which represent the worlds where Disney characters live.
Lenny explains that the attraction was called Canal Boats of the World when it opened in 1955. In June 1956, the attraction was reopened as Storybook Land Canal Boats featuring most of the fanciful, highly detailed settings that are still loved today. Storybook Land is a perfect ride of beauty and relaxation. the landscaping is just amazing and so are the little sets that are all about Disney Classics!
What a great video! This is one of my family’s favorite rides! My daughter loved seeing all the palaces of the different princesses. The attention to detail is terrific!
