Hey, Disneylanders! Who’s up for spending an evening in Tomorrowland, taking in a lively performance by a great band? If that sounds like music to your ears, then I’ve got exciting news for you!
Live music is returning to the stage at Tomorrowland Terrace. Guest favorites such as 80z All Stars, Scot Bruce, Suburban Legends and more will be performing on weekends, Friday through Sunday, beginning August 6 for a limited time. Different bands will appear from day to day. Be sure to check the entertainment schedule before your visit.
So grab a bite and take a seat – or better yet, hit the dance floor – and enjoy some cool music under the moonlight at Disneyland park.

Not only are my wife and I fans of the bands that perform but both my 2 and 4 year old kids love it. If there was a way to upload a video to this thread of both my kids dancing the night away to sounds of A Hard Days Night, you’d see how much we truly miss these mini concerts. Funny enough, I actually convinced my Father, a monster fan of the The Beatles to come to Disneyland for that specific reason and after returning to the park after 20+ years, he said I quote “I’ve missed Disneyland and I hope to come back soon”. Truly fans of the bands that perform and we hope that it’s a permanent attraction in Tomorrow Land. Next to Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.
The entertainment schedule on the Disney site has been incomplete for a while now, but you can get the full schedule (including the TLT bands) on the Disney’s Canadian site (the link to the Canadian site can be found at the bottom of the US Calendar page and you can select the Entertainment Schedule from there. Also, Fans of the Bands has a Facebook page listing all the bands playing at TLT.
How can we find a schedule of upcoming bands that will be performing at Tomorrowland Terrace? Definitely want to plan a visit! Great news!
the T-Party was GREAT …………….. A live band ……Bring that back to California Adventure ……………Also RAIN the Beatles band in Disneyland ………..They are also GREAT ………………
This is so exciting!! I plan to be at Disneyland every weekend possible – and I hope it lasts for years to come. It is so much fun to sit down (or dance) and have a meal, enjoy the music and then go on rides till the park closes. I am telling all my friends and family that it is time to get together at TLT again!!!
Some of my fondest memories are of Disco Bands playing on one of the stages in Tomorrowland, in the late 70s. The music was very good for dancing. I recall in the not-to-distant past when bands would play, and people would just stand and watch. So, for me, find some disco type bands, if you can. That would be fun, and bring back some memories.
I remember coming to Disneyland back in 1971 and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap was on stage in Tomorrowland!! Thanks for the memories Disney! That was the first live popular music group I had ever seen…I was so excited…to be young again!
Why aren’t our questions being answered?
That’s great!!! I’ve always loved some live music at Disney!
Btw, does anyone know if Paint the Night will stay after the Diamond Celebration? Planning a trip for October and I really want my family to see it!
Andrea – “Paint the Night” is scheduled to conclude its initial run with the close of the Diamond Celebration on September 5.
Why only for a limited time? …the live music is the best, much better than all that Star Wars stuff. Also, could you consider rotating the bands nights: so far Tomasina is going to be playing every Friday – many of our friends & us work then. Therefore we can only see them on Saturday or Sunday.
Mike – The groups rotate throughout the schedule, but that scheduling is sometimes dependent upon the availability of individual bands.
Eliminate the words “limited time” and make this a perfect announcement.
Since the band performances ceased last September, my visits to the Disneyland resort have drastically diminished and I’m an Annual Passholder (since 2002). When my pass came up for renewal this past June, I seriously debated if I should or not. In the end I renewed but I’ve only visited twice all summer. Now that the bands have returned, my visits to the resort will definitely increase. At least for a “limited time”.
So excited But why limited time that’s disapointing of being cut off without notice again I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I know I speak for many when I say that the music in Tomorrowland has been sorely missed. I have literally Jumped for Joy with this news Plase let us know if this will continue soon . I’m a huge fan of Hard Days Night I hope I see them there I love the others also but HDN is my fave
Gayla – You’re in luck! I’m told that Hard Day’s Night is included in the schedule.
I will make a deal…….if you bring back HARD DAYS NIGHT to the TT stage….I will literally fly from the midwest to Disneyland specifically for that reason (although I may enjoy a ride or two and a restaurant and …)
I have missed this so much. Tomorrowland area is dead on the weekends without the music. Thank you for bringing it back, I only hope it turns permanent instead of temporary!
How long is this limited time? We arrive on 9/11.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Music at DLR has been missing for quite a time! I hope Tomasina is also in the mix.
Super excited to hear it is finally official. I will be getting solely for the purpose of seeing my favorite bands once more. However, why is it only for a “limited time”??
Thank you for bringing the Bands back to Tomorrowland Terrace! We have really missed them, especially the Tomasina Band! She is our favorite! We can’t wait!
They really need to bring back Aladdin at the Oasis now that the Hyperion show is gone. Aladdin needs representation again, and not just in a window display.
Yes! Suburban Legends have become one of my favorite bands since getting to see them play in Tomorrowland last August. I am going to plan my next trip around getting to see them play!
October being the cutoff between the yearly budgets I imagine. Hopefully we can inspire Disney to keep the bands around after that point, as a lot of people (including myself) enjoy them and look forward to watching them perform every single time that we visit the parks!
Awesome! Now bring Tahitian Terrace back to Adventureland and I’ll be even happier!
I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I know I speak for many when I say that the music in Tomorrowland has been sorely missed. Watching Scot Bruce perform has been one of my family’s favorite things to do at the park for years. My family and friends often planned trips to the parks not for the rides or the fireworks or the parades but simply to eat a good meal, see Scot Bruce perform, and close out the park with some shopping on Main Street. When the music went away last year I really did feel that an important part of the Disneyland experience was missing. So I am glad to see that Disneyland has decided to bring back their nighttime music offerings to the Tomorrowland Terrace. Thank you. I cannot wait to rock and roll the night away in the parks again soon.
🙂
This is exciting! However, there isn’t anything listed on the Disneyland entertainment calendar. Do we know when this will be posted? Thank you.
Great news! I really hope that they’re still doing shows when we come in November. It gave Tomorrowland such a cool SoCal vibe. Even my kids were loving those 80s tunes.
Does anyone know why this is only for a limited time?
Brenda – A long-term decision has not yet been made in regard to this offering. Stay tuned, though, and we’ll update you if we learn more.
