As we continue our look back at original Disneyland park attractions from 1955, we are taking a spin around the familiar track of Autopia. This classic has seen some changes through the years – and even spawned some spin-offs – but one thing remains the same … new generations continue to get behind the wheel for the first time at Autopia. Take a look back with us!

My family of 8 just returned from our annual Disneyland trip and the most memorable moment this year for me was seeing my 10 year old and 9 year old drive off by themselves in their very own Autopia car for the first time. It brought a tear to my eyes as I watched them drive past me with big, proud smiles on their faces!
I remember riding this classic way back in the 60’s, long before I was old enough to get a driver’s license. Even now I enjoy the occasional spin – it’s just not the same as driving a real car!
Erin!!!! Please tell me that Paint the Night is planning a return after September 5th!! I am seriously heart broken over this parade going away.
Being able to drive my “first” car……but my dad had to push the gas pedal because I couldn’t reach it.
thanks for sharing. What a classic.
LOVE THIS RIDE AT DISNEYLAND RISE TWICE WHEN I AM THERE!
