The spookiest time of the year is almost here! Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort returns September 9 through October 31, bringing with it 17 nights of Mickey’s Halloween Party as well as seasonal favorites like Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Mickey’s Halloween Party guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, the exclusive “Halloween Screams” fireworks and more. And new this year, the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow (from Disney’s animated feature, “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad”) will make his spooky ride through the heart of Disneyland park each night of the party!
Be sure to purchase your Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets early and mark your calendars for the following dates:
- July 21: Tickets on sale to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, Disney Rewards Visa card holders and Disney Vacation Club members
- July 28: Tickets on sale to general public
- Mickey’s Halloween Party 2016 dates: Friday, Sept. 23; Monday, Sept. 26; Wednesday, Sept. 28; Friday, Sept. 30; Monday, Oct. 3; Wednesday, Oct. 5; Friday, Oct. 7; Monday, Oct. 10; Wednesday, Oct. 12; Friday, Oct. 14; Monday, Oct. 17; Wednesday, Oct. 19; Friday, Oct. 21; Monday, Oct. 24; Wednesday, Oct. 26; Saturday, Oct. 29; and Monday, Oct. 31
Parking is not included in the ticket price and parking fees will apply. Mickey’s Halloween Party is a nonsmoking event. Smoking will be permitted in designated areas outside Disneyland Park in the Main Entrance Plaza.
Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets are subject to availability and are valid only for specific event dates and hours. Space is limited and event dates may sell out. Limit eight (8) tickets per person, per event date. Tickets are nonrefundable and may not be resold. Tickets are not required for Guests ages 2 and under. Costumes subject to Disney guidelines and should not be obstructive or offensive. Parking is not included. Subject to restrictions and change without notice. Entertainment may be cancelled due to inclement weather or otherwise.

Over an hour and 20 being on hold fo AP services! I finally gave up and tried calling back only to hear that is was an expected wait time of 77 minutes! What is going on, Disney? This is not like you. All I want is my Halloween Party tickets and you have yet to make them available for AP holders online. Very disappointed!
On the phone…”your expected wait time is 90 minutes”…Is it sad that I’m super stoked to be on hold for 90 minutes? 😉

The link to purchase the AP tickets seems to be broken (as of 5:00 am PST).
I am trying to purchase early purchase tickets, but all I see is “Not Currently Available
Tickets will be available closer to the event dates. Please check back.” It says in the column that it is for Disney Card Holders as well. But at the Special Events info page it only shows “if you’re an Annual Passholder—reserve yours today!”……. Come onnnnn!
Chris Desgeorges- I feel you will be fine if you go to Disneyland one full day and then to the party another day. You can focus on the Villians parade and check out all the trick-or-treating areas and all the neat things that happen the night of the party. Also, they typically allow folks to enter about 20 minutes before 4pm. I would highly suggest going to Disneyland on a day the party does not take place, that way you get your full money’s worth and your full day. California Adventure, you can honestly get through that in a half of day. But, you definitely do not want to miss out on World of Color, which is only in the evenings. Hope you find these tips helpful.

It would be really helpful if Disneyland would post the hours for DCA and DLR for the weeks during the Halloween parties. So one could plan for the parties as well as park hopper tickets.
Need some advise, we will be attending for 3 days with our 5 year old (first time at DL) towards the end of October. This party lands on two of the days we will be there the 24th and 26th. If we opt to just do the party on Monday the 24th which allows us to enter park at 4pm, DCA on Tues the 25th then all day DL on Wed the 26th with the party again, will that allow us to experience everything (meaning ride most the rides) or will this trip be rushed. Our days have been set but we possibly could add another half day on Sunday to lengthen our visit. Any help would be appreciated and we’re not concerned with having to buy multiple days to the Halloween event as this will be part of our vacation.

Kerri Reed — Of course there is no way to know what the ticket sell-out patterns will be from year to year, but I can tell you that none of the party dates have sold out before they went on sale to the general public in the last few years. I think you’ll be fine in waiting, and I don’t think the Halloween night tickets will have sold out by July 28th.
One reason there might be a pause before the Halloween night tickets sell out is that Halloween is on a Monday this year, and that actually can make a little bit of a difference in that people have to go to work and school the next day. It’s not as popular of a night to stay out late as, for example, a Saturday would be. Even last year, when Halloween was on a Saturday, the tickets for that party did not sell out until August, as I recall.
Another reason why the tickets for Halloween night might not sell out in one week is that they are a bit more expensive this year. I suspect that a lot of people will gravitate to the less expensive, discounted party nights. Halloween is still a popular party night — you don’t want to wait too long to get the tickets — but it is unlikely that it will sell out in a week.
Again, there is no way to know what will happen from year to year, but some party nights don’t sell out until August, and then a lot of them don’t sell out until September and beyond.
