The Force is Strong with Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In a galaxy not so far, far away, a spectacular dessert party has gotten even better!

At the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can experience out-of-this-world desserts and drinks inside Star Wars Launch Bay. Become immersed in the Star Wars universe with photo opportunities, exciting exhibits and thrilling character encounters.

After enjoying an assortment of sweets — including themed cupcakes, cookies and brownies and a selection of savory snacks including cheese and flatbread and dip (as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) — you will be escorted to a VIP viewing area for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

Dessert party check-in will take place in front of Star Wars Launch Bay, located in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Check in begins at 7:30 p.m., and guests are able to enter the party at 8:15 p.m.

Cost is $69 for adults, $39 for children age 3-9. Admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required to attend, and is not included in the price of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party. Reservations can be made by visiting or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

The Force is strong with this special event the whole family will love!

  • Will the dessert party continue into January 2017? We are coming on our honeymoon after our Star Wars wedding. This is at the top of our to do list.

  • Will the Star Wars dessert party stay through March 2017? I sure hope so. That’s when my husband & I will be there and we are HUGE Star War fans and really want to experience this. Right now there are only dates through 10/31/16. Please keep this great experience going.

  • My FP+ booking opens this Saturday, and I would LOVE to know which park to schedule them in. I can’t settle anything until the dates for the Star Wars Dessert Party open because this is #1 on the list for my entire family. I wish someone would “make my day magical” the way CMs always refer to and answer the questions on this blog. I would love it even more if dates would open up far enough in advance to schedule a fast approaching trip to DW. #lookingforsomepixiedust

  • A couple more weeks have opened in to September. I was able to book the party for September 9th. My question….where is the viewing area located?

  • I’m wondering the same thing as other bloggers: why can’t Disney open reservations for the Dessert Party months in advance as it does with other dining options? At the very least, someone from WDW should provide answers to our questions (after all, this is the official Disney blog).

  • We would love to book the dessert party for October but no info. Can someone from Disney please provide this info?

  • I just saw the times for the show through 1/14/2017 have been posted. Just waiting to see if th dessert party dates get extended past 9/5.

  • You need to call to make the reservations.

  • I add my question to Katherine’s. My wife and I will be there in September but unfortunately dates past 9/5 are not available. We would like to plan dining around the show, maybe even the dessert party. I read in another post a comment from a CM that the spectacular is now a regular event throughout the year. Unfortunately I can’t find any comments on why 9/5 has been the cut off for weeks or if and when additional dates/times for the show and the dessert party will be available. Has any one heard anything new?

  • Looks like it’s open through August 26 now. I checked this morning when reservations opened and it was the same story as yesterday. Checked again 30 min. ago and — voila! — it’s there. Got my tickets for the beginning of August!

  • I am having the same problem as everyone else. Looking to book the dessert party in August which only came up as available dates yesterday and it states no availability for any size party for any day thru Sept 5th.

  • I tried to get a reservation for one on every day in August and September and came up empty. I had spoken with a CM on Monday to try to book a date in August for a party of 10. It was not live on our end, but he said it was on his. He could not find any availability for any of the dates I wanted. I am hopeful that it has not really gone live because otherwise they are all sold out (which doesn’t make sense because there is plenty of availability in July still).

  • Are all the dates in August and September sold out already or have they not been released yet? Not seeing any availability.

  • See? With that big ol’ Hat out of the way, now the Grauman’s can have its own castle projections, too! Never thought of that.

  • August was added to the site today and it’s not letting me book, any idea when we can book?

  • I’m trying to book for August, it was added to the site today, however still unable to book. When will booking be available?

  • It’a frustrating to try and plan for this new Star Wars Spectacular. Times are only being released one month in advance. We can’t even book the dessert party past July 31st. Is there a way that the times could be updated at least 2 or 3 months in advance? like with Wishes or Fantasmic?

  • We are going in September. When will we know if this will be offered then as well?

  • Why can’t I book past Sept 5 I’ve been checking daily for months now. Tomorrow we hit the sixty day mark and there is still no dessert party past Sept 5 also no info on animal kingdom show last Sept 5. ?

  • Any idea when you can purchase this for December? I saw last night that Disney is only accepting reservation through the end of July at the present time.
