Disney Parks Moms Panel Search for New Panelists Begins Sept. 7

Leanne O'Regan

by , Director, Social Media, Disney Parks

Are you an experienced Disney vacation traveler and take pride in helping your friends and family members plan their own magical vacations? If so, you should consider applying for the 2017 Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The application window will open at 12:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 and close at 12:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. The first round application process includes short essay questions, basic information questions, and a sample question similar to what you’d find on the Disney Parks Moms Panel website.

This September marks the 10th year of the annual search for new panelists. The first Moms Panel search launched in September 2007 and since then more than 140 moms, dads, grandparents have helped other guests with decisions and planning logistics around all types Disney vacations.

The Disney Parks Moms Panel focuses on nearly every type of Disney vacation including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, runDisney and events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. And because the site is available in four languages, we hope to find panelists fluent in Portuguese, French, and Spanish.

If you’re the go-to vacation planner in the family and consider yourself very knowledgeable about Disney Parks vacations, consider applying for next year’s panel.

Disclaimer: Disney Parks Moms Panelists receive a Disney vacation as their reward for serving on the panel.

  • Never heard anything back from the Mom’s Panel Application. Was hoping to find out either way. Oh well, always next year.

  • Hello Fellow Disney Moms, I received my 2nd round email on 10/3/16 and just submitted my video yesterday 10/12. I wasn’t sure how fancy the video should be so I just spoke from the heart in my office, nothing fancy but now I’m unsure. Does anyone else have any feedback on what they did?

  • Did anybody hear from the moms panel search 2017? I can’t find any info. Even if I didn’t make it hoping I would hear something???

  • Just got my email! Sadly I didn’t make it to the next round. Just wondering who did! Good luck everyone!

  • Good Luck fellow applicants! Pixie Dust for everyone!

  • Thank you Fairy Godmother! That is so true. I will be waiting for my email 🙂

  • “Even miracles take a little time.” –

  • So, for those of you also wondering, I checked last years blog post and it appears applicants were receiving emails around October 6th or so and they received them whether they moved on or not. So hopefully that’s how it will go this year as well!

  • Makes anyone know.. Do they ONLY contact the selections? Or does everyone get some sort of communication?? I was just in Disney last week and already begun my “Mom panel” assistance!!! I hope I get picked.. I LOVE DISNEY and providing helpful hints!!!

  • I too was wondering if anyone heard back from them. Does anyone know where to check if you made it to the next round?

  • Has anyone gotten a reply on their applications yet?

  • Hi! Has anyone heard if they made it to the second round. This is my first year and not sure when people usually get notified.

    Thank! 🙂

  • Has anyone been notified they were selected? I can’t check my submission status and haven’t seen any emails yet.

  • Hi,
I applied just a couple days ago for this and was hoping to be able to check my status. The link I had saved no longer works though so I was wondering how I might get in. If anyone has been able do this and would let me know how, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks
    D

  • I Applied for this position I so hope I can get in. I love going to Disney and always help people who look lost when I’m there. It would be a dream come true I have been to Disney World about 18 times ,but would someday like to go to Disneyland were it all began. ???????????????? for me to get in.

  • How exciting, I adore Disney i mean who doesn’t! This year we had a totally different stay at Disney as our two boys are growing up, it was fantastic to see it from there perspective !

  • I have been a Disney lover since I was a kid, always going with my family every 3 years we would head down to Florida and I cherish the memories I have made there. I even got the chance to work as CP in the fall of 99. This would just be amazing to be apart of the panel. Finger crossed!

  • Did I miss where and how to apply?

  • Did you say a Disney Mom! Count me in. I will give it a shot. I will give advice and help folks down to a tee weather they have children big family small family or traveling alone(what I did first 3 times), I planned a family reunion for my family there and we live in Virginia. I can also point you in the right direction if you have a family member that is handicapped. One of the family members at the reunion was handicapped. first visit was 2009 and I have been every year since. I have a trip which I can go on and I am never bored.

  • I am, have been and will b a Disney lover now and forever.

When I enter the Magic Kingdom Park, I am like a brand new penny

I celebrate my birthday AND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY EVERY Year at WDW. This yr. I will be celebrating my 75th birthday at WDW on September 4 2016
Please make my wish , “to be a panelist come true”.. By the way, Disney is for people of all ages. This is what I tell everyone.

I have two vices , 1. is food the other is Disney.

People tell me that I am a walking adv. for Disney. Especially when they come into my house. And see my 5 footer;’s Mickey and Minni, and my cleaners clock hanging on the kitchen wall, and a load of other Disney paraphernalia i.e. Bubble Heads Bowling Ally.

We will be a Disney lover forever.
Hope to c u real soon

  • Wow, this would be such an amazing opportunity that I must try for it. My family and I have had so many amazing adventures at various Disney parks, and are always the go tos for friends and family planning trips there. I would love to share all things Disney we have learned over our lifetime. It would be such a dream come true to talk more Disney than I do now. I have already set the application date in my calendar. Here’s to wishes, dreams and a sprinkle of pixie dust.

  • If you are at all interested, you should definitely apply! It has been a life-changing experience for me, and I count the panelists as some of my very closest friends!

  • Wow so here is hoping that I….or my wife can make the panel!! Hope everyone has a magical day and to the new panel members (hopefully me included) see-ya real soon.

  • I know the Moms Panel has been staffed by grandparents and dads in addition to moms, but do you actually have to have a child to become a panelist? Because I’m always bursting with tips and tricks for my friends and family, and being on the “Moms Panel” is a dream of mine, but “Mom” is a title I’ve yet to be honored with. 🙂

I plan on applying anyway, but I’d at least like to know Disney’s position on this.

  • I look forward to the possibility and the privilege! As a former park (and studio) employee and all-around Diznoid, this would be such a great chance to help others (because when I bring anything up, my family says “We know, you already told us”). I tell everyone too that when I retire from my now job, I’ll go back to work at the parks.

  • As a spouse of a Cast Member, avid cruiser, time share owner and former travel agent, I’m hopeful that my application will be carefully considered. I’m looking for something challenging, but fun to do with all my free time now that my youngest is in college. What better way to utilize all my free time by helping others plan their dream vacations! Looking forward to the opportunity.

  • So excited to try out this year and kept checking for the announcement. Got my fingers crossed and wishing luck to all who are applying, as well now 🙂

  • Jeffery Heath- I think there have been Dads on the “Moms” panel too? I look forward to applying and spreading the Disney magic!

  • Hey Leanne!! Mom’s panel is a great idea. Any chance of getting together a “Dad’s” panel too???? It may offer a different perspective… 🙂

  • I would love to be a part of the panel! Every year since Disney Cruise Line started, 1998, I’ve taken a cruise. I look forward to my vacations at Walt Disney World. Since 1998, I’ve been a DVC member and have had amazing vacations! Also, have helped other friends & family plan their vacations. It is one of the most enjoyable things I do!

  • As a former cast member, I would love the opportunity to help moms (and dads, too) plan their next trip for their family members. There are so many things that people can do at Disney Parks that you can start off early in the morning, and be at the parks until late into the evening – and still not get to see all that Disney has to offer their guests.

  • What a fabulous idea. Moms always share hints and tips, especially based on their children’s ages. It’s a great way to share and get even more out of what is always a magical experience!

  • I would love to have the opportunity to be a part of the Disney Parks Moms Panel!! Are travel agents permitted to apply?

  • I am going to give this a shot:) I’m always helping family, friends, or coworkers with Disney Planning. This is right up my alley!!

  • Happy 10th Anniversary to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! To our past and current panelists who have set the bar so high for the last ten years, I applaud you! You’ve built something truly amazing that most of us can only dream of being a part of. For my fellow hopefuls, I’m so excited to be on this journey with each of you. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! #UnforgettableHappensHere

  • Good day!

As a current 2016 Disney Parks Moms Panelist, I can say wholeheartedly, that helping Guests plan their Disney Destinations vacations has been a great honor and that this year has been an exciting adventure, which I will treasure for the rest of my life. Serving on the panel has been a unique experience and I thank you ever so kindly for affording me this coveted opportunity!

Good luck to all the Disney Parks Moms Panel hopefuls and enjoy your magical journey. 🙂

    Jacqueline

  • One of my favorite times of year….followed by one of my least favorite times of year — the rejection notice.

  • Ten years of helping others dreams come true is pretty unforgettable! Congratulations on an amazing site for folks to get that pixie dust answer to all their Walt Disney World Resort vacation questions.
Excited for another chance to apply, wish on stars, and chEAR my friends as they too dream.❤️⭐️?
