I have exciting news to share with you today. A brand new attraction called Miss Adventure Falls is coming to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon in spring of 2017!

Miss Adventuee Falls will be a family-style raft attraction that takes guests on a splashing journey through the fabled Captain Mary Oceaneer’s past. Legend has it that Captain Oceaneer, a treasure-hunting heroine, traveled across the sea collecting unique artifacts before she became stranded at Typhoon Lagoon many years ago by a rogue storm.

Aboard treasure rafts, guests will ascend to the top of the attraction before plunging into a white-water adventure where they will be able to spot some of the treasures Captain Oceaneer gathered from around the world.

With a ride time of two minutes, Miss Adventure Falls will be among the lengthiest attractions at both Disney Water Parks.

I can’t wait to share more details about this new addition to Typhoon Lagoon as they emerge, so stay tuned!

  • Can I ask my fellow Disney bloggers, when is Spring in the U.S.A? I’m really excited to go back to Disney next year but obviously want to go when the new attractions are open… Including Miss Fortune Falls! Thanks so much

  • Capt. Mary Oceaneer’s legend will now be continued on “land” and not just the Disney Cruise Line?!?! That is fantastic! Now Typhoon Lagoon will be tied not only to Pleasure Island’s storyline (Hurricane Connie of 1955 is reported to have been the same gale that devastated both Pleasure Island and Placid Palm’s Resort and sent fireworks crates from Merriweather Pleasure’s Fireworks Factory to Gangplank Falls) but also to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) which Mary Oceaneer is a member of!

  • I had the best time of my life at Typhoon Lagoon last year with my family! Can’t wait to go again!

  • So, basically the Lagoon version of Kali River Rapids/Grizzly Peak? Sounds good.

  • How many people will it seat? I know some family rafts are 4 and some are more. Hope it’s for at least 5. Love when my family can all ride together on a family raft.
