When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake, guests come out for Afternoon Tea at Disneyland Hotel. “Trick or Tea” will be haunting Steakhouse 55 from September 30 – October 30.

Fans of the Classic Afternoon Tea at Disneyland Hotel will enjoy the “Trick or Tea” version, featuring new seasonal teas, including a scrumptious Apple Pie green tea blend. The new seasonal maple pecan scone is frightfully delicious. The scones are accompanied by a bewitching orange marmalade.

Look for ghoulishly delightful twists on the desserts too, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries decorated to look like Jack Skellington’s suit and a jack-o’-lantern pumpkin.

  • Currently there are no alternative options to the menu for a child with food allergies. I wish we knew before we made reservations.

The tea was wonderful. The treats yummy!!

  • Are we allowed to dress up in costume for the Trick or Tea?

  • I stayed up until 3 two nights in a row and still couldn’t get reservations 🙁
    I keep checking though….

  • I am so incredibly sad I am just finding out about this and all dates are sold out!! Steakhouse 55 is my absolute FAV place to have breakfast, and I’ve always wanted to go to their Tea!! But being that it’s Halloween & Nightmare B4 Xmas themed (2 of my very Favorite things), I am completely devastated to be missing out!!! Wish me Luck as I will be checking for cancellations & hoping for a lil Disney Magic to come my way °o°

  • i’ve been trying to make a reservation for weeks now. whenever the day rolls around i try to reserve but it just tells me there are no available times. i even tried at 3am a few times with no luck.

  • I have been trying to make a reservation since the dates first opened on August 4. I called and spoke with a Disney Dining representative who told me there were no reservations available, but I could try at 3 a.m. this morning. I was online at 2:50 counting down until the date opened up, and the first reservation I tried to make said the entire day was booked. And then I read above about how some people have made reservations for 20. Super sad. Is there some secret to all this that I’m missing?? Maybe it’s just the luck of the draw …

  • Myself and another member of my party tried to make a reservation this morning at 3:00am. We were not able to make one… Did it sell out in under a minute? We tried changing our times and group number and nothing was available.

    • Hi Madison, ‘Trick or Tea’ has been very popular and reservations go quickly. Sometimes cancellations do occur, so keep checking back.

  • Made my reservation yesterday! Woke up at 4am to ensure I got in. (I may be a tad excited, lol!). What a great idea to change things up a little for Halloween. Can’t wait for October. It can’t come soon enough.

  • You can make reservations 60 days out. Make sure you set your alarm, you can start making reservations at 3am the day you want to go. I called for a date of Oct 15th at 7:45am after it showed sold out on line. I was told reservations open at 3am and so they did.

  • Tried to get a reservation for Oct. 15th, sold out at 7:30am in the mornimg. Stayed up until 3am to make reservations for Oct. 16th. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have to stay up until 3am to make this reservation. Hope it’s worth it.

  • This sounds amazing and I know Disney caters to allergy issues and I just wanted to know if they had a vegan or non dairy option.

    Thank you.

  • This is exciting to hear about new dining experiences for halloween. Any word if they plan to do the Mystical Spirits at Blue Bayou this year? We’ve been waiting for any dates before we purchase our Halloween tickets so any info would be great (even “it’s possible” or “definitely not”). Thanks.

  • This is wonderful! So excited for a themed tea! Any chance of a Christmas tea coming during the Holidays? I’m coming with some girlfriends for my birthday in December and this would be a fabulous addition to our plans!

  • Would love to take my daughter who is 9 but she has a peanut allergy. Do you have an allergy friendly menu?

    • Hi Joanna, a chef can discuss any allergy needs beforehand or at the table. While we can and do offer allergy-friendly options, the restaurant is not an entirely peanut-free environment, so we do recommend guests exercise discretion depending on the severity of the allergy.

  • Just made a reservation for 20! You read that right! 20 people! We are all looking forward to it! I might have to bump up that reservation beforehand though as it seems a few others are showing an interest in going! YAY!! Halloween and Tea! What could be better? Maybe a visit from Cruella! 😉

  • Can’t wait!!!! This a definate do for this Haloween Season!!!

  • Do we know what will be the difference between the classic and premium?

    • The Classic Tea includes traditional scones, tea sandwiches, desserts and tea. The Premium Tea includes everything in the Classic Tea, plus sparkling wine and salad.

  • Is the $65 premium tea party price per adult?

    • Yes, per adult.

  • I’m so excited for this!! I’ve already made reservations for our upcoming trip.

  • Took my daughter-in-law and two granddaughters (7 & 4) for Valentine’s Day and the girls absolutely loved it and still talk about it.
I’ve already booked this Tea for us for Oct 2nd. Can’t wait.
It will be their Halloween Treat for sure!

    • I hope you have a scary-good time! 😀

  • What a clever idea! I love the Skellington strawberry. I’ve always thought that Halloween Time should extend outside of Disneyland park and into the hotels a bit more, just to provide a more all-encompassing seasonal experience. Last year it looked like things were headed in that direction with the arrival of the Halloween Tree-t in the Grand Californian Hotel lobby. I’m glad to see that the Disneyland Hotel now has a little bit of Halloween fun as well.
I can’t wait for Fall and Halloween Time to arrive!

    • I agree, it’s my favorite time of the year! 🙂

  • May I ask the price for adults?

    • $50 for the Classic Tea Party, $65 for the Premium Tea Party.

  • Price for adults? Kids? Thank you!

    • Pricing is the same as the Clastic Afternoon Tea at Disneyland Hotel. $50 for the Classic Tea Party, $65 for the Premium Tea Party and $35 for the Kids’ Tea Party.

  • Sooooo looking forward to this. Such a great idea. Can’t wait to make my reservation. Why do we have to wait 60 days??! ????

  • Hello, reservations can only be made for September 30th, October 1st and 2nd. Is it possible to make reservations now for future dates in October? Thank you.

    • Reservations will open 60 days in advance.

  • This is such a fantastic idea! If we could get this at Walt Disney World, I’d book it every weekend.
