A Wonderful Sunrise at Magic Kingdom Park

There’s just something about this photo that makes me smile. Shot at Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park, our photographer snapped this terrific shot just before guests arrived for another day of fun in the park.

The 189-foot castle serves as the centerpiece to Magic Kingdom Park, which will celebrate its 45th anniversary in October. The castle is the home to Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant, one of the most sought-after character dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where kids are transformed into princesses and knights. For guests simply passing through, the castle also boasts five amazing “Cinderella”-themed mosaics that were designed by Disney Legend Dorothea Redmond. (Check out an up-close gallery of the mosaics here).

What’s your favorite part of Cinderella Castle?

  • Definitely sunset… taken at 7:36 PM on July 11, 2016 to be exact! 🙂

  • Yup, that’s a sunset. Pretty clearly the Fantasyland side of the castle and Cinderella Fountain in the background.

  • We visit during the Christmas Holiday’s and the year is no exception. Love when the castle is dripping in ice and all of the color changes. I was also there during Walt Disney World’s 25th celebration and the castle was transformed into a giant cake. I have the poster that was sold at the Disney Stores back in the day of that and from what I remember I think each store only had two to sell.

  • Umm… that picture is facing West?
