It’s time again for the largest and most unique pediatric 5K walk in the nation – CHOC “Walk in the Park,” presented by Disneyland Resort. On October 30, participants will walk approximately three miles through Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, raising funds one step at a time for CHOC Children’s programs and services in greatest need — from mental health services to an expanded neonatal intensive care unit.

Last year’s walk raised more than $2.5 million for the hospital’s KidsCARE Fund, bringing the quarter-century total to more than $26 million. Walkers from around the world participate, including Canada, Mexico, Australia and Japan. Many Disneyland Resort cast members also participate through the Disney VoluntEARS walk team and several pre-event fundraising efforts, such as a silent auction with gift baskets creatively wrapped by cast members, all to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

In this video, Ian McQuire, an attractions host in Tomorrowland, who has walked with his family since 2009, shares how CHOC Children’s Hospital positively impacted his family. There is plenty of time left to register as a walker, donate to support CHOC walkers or give directly, at www.chocwalk.org. We hope to see you on October 30!
