Back in 2011, we shared a video of our animals enjoying enrichment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Because it was around the time of Halloween, many of our animals received pumpkins. As you can see in the video, it was delightful for both our animals and our guests!
Enrichment, including toys, scents and special edible treats, is a key part of our animal care program. It enables animals to make choices about their environment and encourages natural behaviors. Enrichment also enables our guests to see some of the adaptations that help the animals survive!

This is such a cute video. It’s great to see the animals having some fun for Halloween. Something new and interesting to play with. An enrichment for them all.
They used to play the Pumpkin video on the hotel Disney Nature channel, and I always loved to see the tiger play with his “chase-ball”.
