Maybe you’ve talked about it, or even tried your own dine-around on the Walt Disney World Resort monorail with stops for cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert along the way. Now you can sit back and let us take care of the travel plans, making it easier than ever to experience this culinary journey around some of our favorite Disney resorts. The new Highway in the Sky Dine-Around gives guests priority boarding on the monorail for an unparalleled dining journey around the circuit between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
You’ll start the journey by checking in at The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a welcome cocktail, then board the monorail to be whisked off to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to celebrate the spirit of the South Pacific with island-inspired sips and appetizers.

I want to do this so bad!!! Tell Disney to make in permanent! We are coming in September 2017!
I’m visiting in August with my 13 year old daughter. Will it be available then (nothing coming up to pre-book) and can children attend (obviously without having the alcohol options)
I am so excited to try this dining experience- I have my reservation while I am there for Princess half marathon weekend. I am attending solo but hope to make new friends while enjoying some yummy dishes and inventive cocktails! Adulting our way around on the monorail -how fun!
Ps-if I have particular food concerns who should I notify?
My husband and I participated in this event last Friday night. It was awesome! One of the best things we have done at Disney so far. The food and drinks were awesome, the cast members ( they went out of their way to make sure you had an enjoyable time) were outstanding , the VIP experience was really cool, and we met a lot of new Disney friends. Way to go Disney…. please keep these type of adult -friendly events coming. 5 stars in our book, thanks for the magical memories!
This looks awesome! I’m enjoying the fact that Disney has been adding more adult-centered entertainment, as there hasn’t been enough of that in recent years, and I always come to the parks with just my husband or close friends. We were going to do the Pirate and Pals thing with the fireworks, but we discovered it was mostly kid food and no adult beverages available, so we decided to skip that. Keep up the good work at providing better balance so everyone can find something cool to do!
From doing the Disney races I know that things do sell out quickly. BUT, I just put in 1 person and went through everyday from December to March and nothing is available. I can’t imagine that in all those dates there is not room for a party of 1. Hoping it’s just the site and spots will open up. It looks like a lot of fun.
Will they consider extending this into February? I would love to do this!
I have tried 2, 4, 6 people on every date available with no luck. I called reservations who didn’t even know about it and said she is showing nothing as well. Then told me to just try back another time! What is going on? Was it sold out that fast???
We’ve been trying for the last few days to book for early March and there has been nothing available since it launched. Did it really sell out that quickly or is there a delay on releasing tickets this far in advance?
My family always celebrates the Christmas holiday at Disney. I am so upset that we could not get reservations either night of our weeklong stay despite the fact that I started trying the day reservations opened. What is the secret to getting a reservation?
You may be having difficulty finding availability during the Christmas Holiday because Highway in the Sky Dine-Around will not be offered from December 23 through 31.
Is there a discount for passholders .
I really want to book this for my Husband and I in January. Is it available Tuesday, Friday, and SUNDAY evenings or SATURDAY evenings? In this post it says SUNDAY, but on the reservation site it only shows Tuesday, Friday, and SATURDAY evening available. HELP! 🙂
Highway in the Sky Dine Around is offered Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays – we are working to update the post!
It looks from the reservation website that the offered days are Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, not Sundays.
That is correct, Highway in the Sky Dine Around is offered Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays – we are working to update the post!
Kimberly Taft the description says valet parking is included. I would assume its at the Contemporary since that’s the start and end.
Is it $150 a person or a couple?
$150 per person.
What is the price without the liquor?
The package costs the same, with our without alcoholic beverages. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
Love the idea! I was just there in November. I hope you bring it back another time. I would definitely love to do it.
It seems like a lot of fun.
I, like many others, got really excited when I saw this and then saw that the majority is centered around alcohol with wine pairings/cordials/sparkling wine etc being emphasized in the description. For those of us that don’t drink (for whatever reason it may be) it doesn’t make any kind of sense to purchase this, when it seems like a good chunk of the price is for the alcohol consumed.
We were really excited about it, then we saw the price, and I don’t drink, so—-pass. Yes, we have annual passes and belong to DVC, so it’s not like we aren’t Disney-addicts. We are.
Just tried to book a party of one for either the 16th or 18th and no luck 🙁
Amazing! so doing this next trip!
I love it and am anxious to give this a try!!!! Hopefully this sticks around until I am in the area next!!!
This is fantastic. I just tried to book it but none during the Xmas/NewYears week ?
Love this idea!!! Looking forward to trying it on our upcoming trip!!
This sounds nice, but like other similar dining experiences it sure seems to be centered around drinking. That’s well and good, but what about those of us who don’t drink? It seems like a lot of the expense is for cocktails/champagne that we won’t be drinking. It sure would be helpful if Disney would include non-alcoholic versions and/or pricing for things like this. Till then, we’ll pass.
Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
I can’t wait to do this! You don’t even need a park ticket, right?
Do you think you’ll be able to park at The Contemporary if you have proof that you’re attending this event?
No park ticket is required, and the package includes valet parking at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Sounds very interesting. Is this expected to be around in April or is this a limited time event? Is this a pre-paid dining experience or Do you pay at the end of the meal? Thinking about this for Easter day as a non-Parks Idea where I get Wishes and a nice Dinner.
I LOVE THIS IDEA! I can’t wait to book it!
