Earlier today, Disney Parks Blog readers were among the first to learn that Pandora – The World of Avatar is set to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in summer 2017. Now, we’re sharing a first look at what you can expect to see in the land.
Satu’li Canteen will be the main restaurant in Pandora – The World of Avatar and will feature Na’vi art and cultural items.
At Windtraders, travelers can find Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits, and more.
And Pongu Pongu (pictured at the top of the story) will be a special drink location with a design that is as eclectic as its Expat owner.
All of today’s new images were shared by Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek during a D23’s Destination D: Amazing Adventures presentation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for more updates on Pandora – The World of Avatar.

We’re going Jun 10th to 17th. will World of Avatar be ready?
Planning a visit for March 2018. So excited to visit Pandora and Star Wars Land (if open)! This just adds more excitement to the vacation. The new images look stunning. We are planning to spend at least half a day just in Pandora. Great job Disney! I can’t wait to see the map of Pandora
Meh.
It looks cool, but the Avatar movie will more than 7 years old by the time the new land opens. Any plans to re-release the film in theaters so people will know what Pandora even is?
While I’m not planning an entire trip around Pandora, I’ll definitely have to plan to spend more time in Animal Kingdom next time we go to Disney World!
With this and Star Wars Land, it’s going to be a mecca for Sci-Fi/Fantasy nerds like me!
I cannot wait! All the bright colors!
