With its gorgeous backdrop of iconic architecture from around the globe, Epcot’s World Showcase is perfect for outdoor events or a delightful stroll around the pretty lagoon. Sipping and tasting culinary delights along the way is one of the best parts of any festival, and the new Epcot International Festival of the Arts is taking food to new heights in “Food Studios” along the promenade.

Running Fridays through Mondays from Jan. 13-Feb. 20, the festival will combine visual, culinary and performing arts, unveiling brand new art each week.

While the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival strives for seasonal flavors, and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is all about global cuisine, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts is all about works of art on a plate (Instagram-worthy, for sure!).

At many of the Food Studios, guests will be able to watch the chefs plating and see the creative process as the dish comes to life.

Here’s a gallery of some of the artful dishes.

  • Don’t know if this will help but first things first — the special food is only available Friday through Monday. Secondly, this event has a LOT less food than the Food and Wine Festival (say maybe only 1/10). The biggest draw, for us,is the “living pictures” where you get to step inside a picture and have your own picture taken (or have your party do it). That’s fun.

There are some good exhibits but, frankly, I wouldn’t make a special trip to see this. It’s nothing compared to the F&W Festival.

  • will the food only be for sale over weekends when the programming is on, or will it be available throughout the week?

  • Well, we’re going today so if we find out any more details I can post them here if anyone is interested (we are just doing our normal weekly WDW visit and weren’t planning on Epcot until I read this so we’ll stop there first).

  • Elizabeth…..I am in the same situation as you…..

When are we going to get more information about schedules and appearances for this event?

Anyone have a link to the schedule?

  • I’m so excited about this! I’m hoping that the food art will not only be out for display, but also for sale?? 🙂

  • Epcot wine and food is awesome. Can’t wait to return.

  • WOW!

  • When are we going to get more information about schedules and appearances for this event? We’re only just over three weeks out from the first weekend and it’s almost impossible to plan without more information.

  • Can’t wait! Checking into Beach Club DVC on Jan 25. Yum! ?

  • Everything looks amazing!
