Beginning this week, guests arriving at Magic Kingdom Park in time for the park’s opening are in for a real treat. A new morning welcome show called “Let the Magic Begin” just debuted at the park and will get the fun started each day right at the Castle Forecourt Stage.
The show features a Majesty Maker and a bunch of surprises that are, well, full of ‘character!’
Check out the video above for a look inside the show and hear why Show Director Forrest Bahruth thinks “Let the Magic Begin” is a great way for guests to start a day at the park.

I loved the old show at the train station. I loved the anticipation and the charm. I loved the family of the day that helped open the park and the Good Morning Dancers. The new show is blah and just doesn’t feel as magical and I feel like it’s not worth waisting my time watching. I really miss the old show and wish you would incorporate some of the old show at the castle.
Loved the old welcome show and music. The new show does not compare. I hope that they recreate the same music and show at the castle.
The opening ceremony with the mayor and the Good Morning song is one of my FAVORITE Disney experiences! We never miss it on Magic Kingdom days, and I always get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat because I’m so excited! Sadly, this new welcome doesn’t seem to compare.
How will this change effect Early Morning Hours for people staying on site? Has anyone experienced this yet?
There is nothing like waiting for the train to arrive with the characters! That was unique! You felt special waiting for the rope to drop and the cast members letting you in. This is JUST ANOTHER SHOW!
I am excited to experience this new magic in a few weeks with my family!!
I miss the unique charm of standing at the gates and the approach of the train. That was truly an opening.
showing up on a train is always better
Hmmmm…. It’s nice. But the charm of the original Welcome Show is missing. The previous show felt like something Walt would have had performed to welcome his guests. This is very nice, but the old show had charm this doesn’t.
Saw the show on opening day. It was really fun!
I get that the show needed to move away from the train station, but couldn’t the new show have been given at least one tenth the charm of the main street dancers singing “Good Morning!”?
