Now during our Lunar New Year celebration, Disney California Adventure park guests are enjoying “Hurry Home,” a special show just before nightly performances of “World of Color.” The now-classic Disney Park nighttime spectacular has seen many changes since its debut in 2010. Let’s take a look back at some of our favorite “World of Color” videos.
Just after the show’s debut, 2010 Disneyland Resort Ambassador Danielle DuBois took us behind the scenes of this technological marvel.
One of my favorite “World of Color” videos, this footage was shot from a fixed-wing aircraft at approximately 1,800 feet above Disney California Adventure park.

I firmly believe World of Color is breathtakingly beautiful from any angle, and I include catching glimpses from between two tall men with children on their shoulder when I say that. That was how I saw World of Color for the first time, and even though I couldn’t see much (what can I say, I’m not tall), it took my breath away. I’ve been priviliged to have a much better vantage point since then, and I love everything about the show: the lights, the fountains, the music, the rollercoaster of emotions. It’s always a must-see, and I can’t wait to see it again!
