You are invited to be our guest and step into the beloved “Beauty and the Beast” story in new ways! For a limited time, Fantasyland at Disneyland park will bring this tale to life with special experiences that celebrate the classic Disney animated feature.
Red Rose Taverne – This dining location at the northwest edge of Fantasyland will magically transform from Village Haus Restaurant into a lively French taverne, with delicious quick-service meals perfect for all ages! Adorned with beautiful murals depicting favorite scenes from Disney’s animated feature, “Beauty and the Beast,” and draped with inviting curtains, each room of Red Rose Taverne tells a different chapter of the tale as old as time. The menu will transform as well, featuring some of your favorite tastes with a French taverne-inspired twist, as well as new signature beverages. We’ll have details to share on these delicious additions soon – and yes, you will be able to try our own version of the Grey Stuff. (I hear it’s delicious!)
Royal Reception – This special merchandise location adjacent to Red Rose Taverne offers keepsakes, apparel and collectibles inspired by both the animated Disney feature as well as the new, live-action film, “Beauty and the Beast,” in theaters March 17.
That Gaston – We all know Gaston loves a taverne, so don’t be surprised if you find him preening around Fantasyland. Stop him and ask him to flex his biceps – he loves that.
Maurice’s Treats – The celebration continues in nearby Fantasy Faire, where each twist on the menu at Maurice’s Treats will be presented with … well … a twist! And those of you who have been clamoring for a dipping sauce to go along with your tasty twist will be pleased to know that marinara, strawberry and even Grey Stuff dipping sauces will soon be available.
The Royal Theatre Presents “Beauty and the Beast” – Be sure to drop by the Royal Theatre in Fantasy Faire as Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones present their take on “Beauty and the Beast” in this daily favorite.

When does this start?
A couple of these have been available for quite some time. The B&tB show at Fantasy Faire has been there since Frozen melted away. Beware, though, Tangled also shows at the theater with one production in the morning and the other in the afternoon (sorry, don’t remember which is which). Both are fantastic and if you have the time, see them both! They’re also suitable for kids in length as well as content.
Maurice has also had twisted treats there for quite some time though it looks like they may be plussing those.
Finally, I hope they find a place for Village Haus’ Pastrami Angus burgers, one of my favorite counter service meals.
Please say at least some of these treats will have options for those with food allergies???

This should be a permanent change. We need more Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland!

I tried the grey stuff during my trip to Disney World last year and it was pretty delicious. I wonder if the Disneyland version is going to be made the same. Can’t wait to try it again!
I hope you guys add Beast to the Meet and greet. To me it would not make since to only have Belle & Gaston out but not Beast. Since the movie is call Beauty & the Beast.
Read the post all the way folks. It has not opened yet (though I believe Royal Reception may be already) and opening dates will be announced soon. Anyways, cool idea for a temporary change. The park has been wanting a bigger presence for Beauty and the Beast for many years and now we will finally get it…albeit not a ride as some wish : )

When are you going to announce the reopening day for everything on the Rivers of America and the Disneyland Railroad at Disneyland. Also the opening day for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at Disney California Adventure?
Walt Disney World is opening Rivers of Light on Friday, February 17, 2017 and AVATAR on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Also Happily Ever After Spectacular debuting at Magic Kingdom on Friday, May 12, 2017.
Please tell me that they’ll be there through Mother’s Day! “Beauty and the Beast” is my favorite Disney movie, and I’d love to see these!
