Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle Debuts February 26 at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Imagine being able to delight in the sparkle of the Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular from an intimate and private observation deck. Celebration at the Top, a new dining event coming to California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, can be perfectly summed up in three words: savor, sip, sparkle.

Celebration at the Top guests can check in at California Grill an hour before fireworks. After being whisked up to the California Grill, which sits on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, guests will be taken to the intimate and secluded banquet rooms. Enjoy canapés, a selection of sushi rolled by the expert California Grill sushi chefs, a selection of flatbreads and other small plates. A complimentary bar offering craft beers, California wines, cordials and coffee will also be available.

Celebration at the Top

Just before the night spectacular begins, guests will be lead to their private observation deck, which offers stunning views of Magic Kingdom park and the fireworks. After taking in the breathtaking sights and sounds, guests can return to the private room for petit four desserts including decadent chocolate confections and fruit tarts.

Reservations for Celebration at the Top are now open for select Sunday evenings from February 26 to April 16. Cost is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Complimentary valet parking is included.

  • Just booked for July 3 celebrate America fireworks!!

  • I read online that Celebration At The Top had been extended until 24th September 2017 and had this confirmed a few times when calling Disney. I was told to keep trying the website to book, however after checking back for several months I’m still not able to book. Can anyone confirm if it will be extended into September / October or if the dates currently available for August are the last ones?

  • I hope They continue this offering. I really enjoyed it ! great fireworks view, great food and wonderful experience!

  • We have an ADR for brunch on 30th July. We were led to believe this would enable us to return to view the fireworks in the evening. Is this the case?

  • We have reservations in April. I am gluten free and it doesn’t appear that there will many things for me to eat. Do they accommodate food allergies?

  • OMG! This would be totally worth the money! We have done a dessert party at EpCot and at the Studios and we had a great time! Appetizers, shushi, small plates and flatbreads is just like dinner. Then you watch the fireworks and after that you come back inside for desserts! And the craft brews, california wines, coffee and cordials are also included! We paid $89 per person for the dessert parties and dinner at the Contemporary is sooo expensive! I am so excited for this! Just have to find time to squeeze it in. . . .we are already have reservations for Dine in the Sky for my Birthday!! 🙂 🙂

  • Love this idea! I hope to see this continue on in the future!!

  • Think of the California Grill as a big H, with the restaurant in the center and the viewing areas at each of the 4 legs of the H. From what I’ve read, the upper right leg will be the viewing area for this new program, while the upper left leg is for the existing CG diners. So you’ll still have a great view outside while dining there.

For $99, I don’t see the advantage over enjoying a fine dinner and then viewing the fireworks. It would cost about the same.

  • I would also like to know if this event will prohibit regular diners from accessing the observation area. I have a sunday dinner ADR for this purpose and would like to know if I should be cancelling it to do this event instead to be sure of having a good fireworks view.

  • I’m excited about this new offering and wondering if it will be extended. I’m also running Dark Side weekend and will be back this fall and would love to partake! CA Grill is one of my favorite restaurants and I look forward to e noting all they have to offer on future trips!

  • When looking to book this the page states this is SUNDAYS, not THURSDAYS like this blog post says.

Pricing: $99 plus gratuity and tax per person
Dates: Held on select Sundays through March 26, 2017
Reservations: Book online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463

    • Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle will take place on Sunday evenings.

  • I’m confused. Firework viewing from the observation deck has been free forever for guests dining at the CG. Are you saying the observation deck is no longer accessible to regular guests dining already? I get the free flowing food and drink for the $99 but I hope they dont take it away for guests having a sit down dinner in the main dining. This has been a staple for me for decades.

    • Observation decks will still be available for guests who are dining at California Grill. One of the decks will be exclusive to guests of Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle.

  • Will regular California Grill diners still be able to use the observation deck after their dinner, as they always have been? Or is the deck now reserved only for Sip, Savor, Sparkle diners during this event? Or is a new deck just for those event-goers actually being constructed?

  • Is this event only being offered for that month or will further dates be added in the future?

    • Hi Taryn, at this time Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle will be available through April 16.

  • I will be down there in April for the Darkside marathon. Is there any chance that this will be extended? Sounds like a really wonderful time to be had…

  • Will the observation decks for California Grill still be operational for restaurant patrons on party nights?

    • Yes, there will still be observation decks available for California Grill dining patrons. One of the decks will be exclusive to guests of Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle.

  • why do that event and not just dine there regularly? I hope the observation will still be available to all diners?

  • Is the observation deck now only going to be limited to those who purchase this special event ? Or can others who have regular reservations during the fireworks still view them as well ?
