Happy Villaintine’s Day!

It’s February 13th, which is known as Villaintine’s Day here on the Disney Parks Blog.

Why celebrate the Disney villains? Because without them, we’d have no Disney heros! Think about it: the Three Little Pigs would’ve had a rather boring week if Big Bad Wolf didn’t constantly try to blow their houses down. Aladdin may still be faking life as a prince if Jafar hadn’t outed him as a “street rat” and forced him to be honest to Jasmine. And let’s be honest, it’s just fun to see the look on Lady Tremaine’s face when the glass slipper fits Cinderella. Disney villains add so much character to Disney movies and they’re equally fun to meet in person at our parks.

So, let’s give some love to our Disney villains today.

Happy Villaintine’s Day!

To celebrate, our friends in the Yellow Shoes department at Disney created these fun Villaintine’s to share with all of you. Be sure to check out our Disney Parks Blog Facebook page and Disney Parks Blog Instagram account for more!

Is seeing a Disney villain a must-do for you when visiting our parks? Which one? Tell us in the comments section below!

  • I absolutely adore Lady Tremaine and feel she’s mostly misunderstood. Imagine being a twice widowed young woman left with three daughters. It couldn’t have been easy to do it without any support.

  • My almost 5 year old daughter loves Maleficent. I think she’s going to be disappointed when we visit in a few weeks and her villian won’t be around to meet. Unless Maleficent is around and I don’t know about it.

  • In Magic Kingdom on Valentines Day! My daughter had some pictures taken with Gaston. He was amazing, posing for selfies with her, fabulous!!
I was, however, disappointment that there was nothing truly special going on for the holiday. The only truly special Valentines event I witnessed was when my 5 year old son, who planned this all himself, gave a rose to every princess he met. Out of all the princesses, both Pocohantis and Jasmine were absolutely amazing. Really making his thoughtfulness worth it. Many thanks from this Mommy!?
